In 2020, getting away is a tough thing to do. When Regional Travel opened in the Province of BC my wife and I were ready to take a break. We wanted to come to Victoria, as it's been a place we have lived for 18 years and knew it well. We wanted to come and support local businesses too! Huntingdon Manor accommodations were ready for our 4pm check-in. The room was spacious and my wife especially enjoyed the King Size bed. Staff are efficient at check-in and answered my Wifi query with ease. The best thing about Huntingdon Manor I can say is its old time hotel feel. Which is a nice change from a modern almost cookie cutter type of building. Lots of history on that property. Convenient location to downtown - we enjoyed walking literally everywhere we went during our time in Victoria. If you are looking for a downtown Victoria spot with everything right at hand and lots of things to do then I highly recommend staying at the Huntingdon Manor or its sister property The Pendray Inn and Tea House.

We enjoyed 3 night-stay at this hotel very much. It was nice that the breakfast was included and was even better that, instead of buffet, it was wonderfully served at the Pendray restaurant due to the COVID 19. The building looks quite worn down, but there was nothing to complain about the room or service. We would definitely go back again when we stay in Victoria next time.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your kind review. We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay at the Huntingdon Manor Hotel and appreciated the breakfast at the Pendray Tea House. We apologize for the exterior of the building. Unfortunately COVID-19 affected us deeply, and we had to downsize to a skeleton crew for over three months with limited maintenance. The good news is that we were recently able to bring back some of our team and they are working hard on catching up with maintenance and upkeep of the property. Thank you for choosing us and we look forward to your next visit in Victoria! With kind regards,

We had a wonderful stay at Huntingdon Manor Hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast on the patio overlooking the garden. Everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance, including our favourite restaurant Il Covo. It was very quiet and our room was spacious with two queen beds and a kitchen. In addition, it was safe. Hand sanitizer was available everywhere. Tables for dining were spread out and you could eat outside. The staff wore face masks and kept at a safe distance.

Great Location. The lobby and the Pendray were very pretty and although the rooms were very clean, it was basic (TINY TV and TINY old fridge) beds were like concrete slabs. Toiletries were laughable! There were dispensers in the shower you had to pump like crazy to get anything out and the stuff stunk like it was old or something. We went out and bought soap. Ice machines weren’t working for some of our stay Lastly although it’s not a big deal to me, the hotel did look a little rough from the outside. Needs a good scrub and maybe some paint. Gardens/plants need some love, dead flower pots. Maybe it was like this because of Covid?

Dear guest, Thank you for your feedback; we are sorry to hear that your stay at the Huntingdon Manor Hotel did not meet your expectations. As part of our sustainability initiatives, we replaced single-use toiletries with dispensers and all of our soaps, cream and hair products are eco-friendly and locally made. Please note that we do have single-use toiletries available upon request at the front desk. We apologize for the state of the hotel’s exterior and gardens at the time of your stay. It was indeed a direct result of COVID-19, as we were on skeleton crew for 3 months with no Gardener and limited maintenance staff. I’m happy to say that our Gardener is back and is working hard on returning our gardens back to their former splendour. Our maintenance team is also addressing the hotel’s upkeep where it can. Yours truly, Julia Canton Sales & Marketing Manager

The Reason for our trip was due to my visits to the BC Cancer Hospital. Yasmin was very friendly and helpful. The Hotel and Pendray buildings were very attractive and the service for breakfast was very good. Room was comfortable and clean. Even though we are in the midst of the Covid 19 fiasco everything went well.
