It is unfortunate that we were not told at check in of (6 nights) that there would be no daily housekeeping service. The sign in the bathroom says to put your towels in the tub if you would like new ones... so that is what we did. A note was slipped under our door later that day to tell us there is no housekeeping and we could request towels by calling the front desk. We called the front desk and they said they would deliver some to our room.......when we got home from dinner ,still no towels. I went down stairs and asked at the front desk and she grabbed a few towels, but no face clothes or hand towels. When you go on vacation and book a room , the basic need is clean towels and yes we can reuse them if you tell us we are not going to get them daily and have the proper signage in the bathrooms (reuse towels) Nice location, rooms are fine.

From the get go, the staff were amazing! They were friendly and very helpful. We were even greeted at our morning breakfast with a cheery face and friendly words. I would highly recommend staying at Huntingdon Manor Hotel. It is within walking distance to many downtown events.

Unfortunately there was no character beyond the wood wainscoting lobby. The room was clean but dated (and not in a charming way). The biggest problem was the noise. We were woken up at 7am on our vacation by a garbage truck. I looked out the window to see what all the noise was and it was so close I could have touched it. I’m sure others were bothered to by all the beeping and scraping noises by the ill placed bins. Then the construction hammering started ... no mention of this on the website or when I called. We walked around the lovely courtyard to the Inn (which is a separate hotel) and it looked much more inline with the photos on the website. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.

The Huntingdon has a unique character, old world elegance and simplicity. The service is consistently friendly, and efficient. The room included everything you would need for comfort and convenience. The beds are excellent. The proximity to the harbour and the city makes this an excellent location. We keep returning.

The hotel was nice and clean. The ladies at the reception were polite and helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast was a wonderful surprise. Fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh pasties, make it yourself waffles, coffee, tea, juice, and more. Located across from the harbour and a quick 10 minute walk to the shops. When booking they recommend you request a balcony if you would like one. As we enjoy having our morning coffee on the balcony we requested one. We were disappointed. The balcony was approximately 2 feet wide and 4 feet long. It was right next to the hotels a/c unit and covered in bird pooh. Not exactly the relaxing romantic spot we were looking forward to.
