This was the perfect weekend getaway. The Magnolia is an amazing boutique hotel, in the best location. A block from the harbour, and steps from the best restaurants and shopping. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Hotel's Favorite
The staff at The Magnolia Hotel are the most professional, friendly, helpful, polite and personable of any staff we have encountered anywhere in the world. They all made our stay extremely special and I can not say enough good things about them. The service at The Magnolia compares to Ritz Carlton hotels. We were there for 2 nights and everyone we encountered, from valet parking to turn-down service, from check-in to wait staff - all were exemplary in their duties and were very friendly, yet professional. Our room, a top-floor corner, with fireplace and overlooking the Parliament buildings was perfection. The amenities are plentiful and topnotch, the bathrobes divine. The gorgeous restaurants have smaller, excellent menus at very reasonable prices - so does room service. We made good use of their well-equipped gym and loved the infrared sauna. We'll be back. The Magnolia is so perfectly located in the heart of downtown Victoria that you can walk to all shops, restaurants, theatres, clubs or office buildings. Part of me wants to scream to the world "You MUST stay at The Magnolia Hotel in Victoria at least once in your life" and part of me wants to keep them our best kept secret just for family and close friends.

Although we were tending to business during our 2 night stay, the hotel felt like a mini vacation. Rooms are sumptuous and staff is very attentive. Great view of parliament. Will be back and looking forward to it!

We were in Victoria for five nights for work and stayed in Magnolia. We used Expedia to book and had a VIP extra which is a room upgrade and a $25 dining voucher. The location was right down town close to waterfront. It was very convenient to walk around the main shopping area and dining scenes. It was also close to the bus route to work. The hotel was nicely decorated and the staff were all very pleasant. Mask are required and sanitizer was provided. The room was spacious and very comfortable with five stars provision such as fluffy bathrobes and slippers. Beds are comfortable, shower has plenty of hot water. Some bath salts would have been great as I forgot to bring my own. There was no housekeeping because of Covid but because we stayed five nights we were allowed house keeping on one of the days which have to be prescheduled. We decided we didn’t need it instead we asked for fresh towels and extra toiletries. The provincial health orders changes the night we arrived with regards to indoor dining so we didn’t get to eat at Courtney room. However they let us use the $25 dining credit for room service. Car park was not included. We parked elsewhere not too far away. We didn’t really use our car much during the five days trip. So we did end up paying quite a bit for the car to be in the car park! We asked for late check out on Good Friday so that we could go for a two hours kayaking at Ocean River Adventure and then came back for a quick shower before checking out. We are very grateful for the late check out. They are some renovating work but we were not really affected as I worked during the day time and hubby was out a lot. The nights were quiet and we both slept very well every night. Will stay again.
