This is a terrible hotel. Paper thin walls. Dog friendly so you can hear barking all night. Loud pub and liquor store patrons. Unfriendly staff. Mattress springs were broken and the bedframe creaks loudly. 2nd floor "harbour view " is obstructed and more like a parking lot view. Tiny bathroom. Smelled like mildew.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at the end of our trip. Delighted with the location and the free parking, but hotel is tired and in need of an overhaul. Our room had 2 double beds (family of 3), with very squeaky mattresses, and was crowded with furniture making it difficult to move around. There is a small galley kitchen with a double hot plate—well outfitted with pots, pans, dishes and utensils—and a very small bathroom that you have to step up 6” to enter (ouch). Our room faced the harbour, so had a wonderful view, but it is also located above the patio restaurant and bar. During Covid, it was quiet with the early closures, but at other times when the place is busy I imagine it gets noisy. The food is good, and the staff are friendly. This hotel is a bargain given its location, fee parking, and kitchenette.

The first room we were assigned was still dirty. Our second room was clean And we were given 2 bottles of water for our trouble. The beds are extremely hard and squeaky. There is NO air conditioning!! Humid Victoria../thank goodness we could open the window and it was rainy.:/except the bar on the patio is extremely noisy. The view from our room was kind of cool...all in all...spend $20 more for a better hotel if you don’t like sleeping in 25 degrees...

We stayed here for two nights during the week. The staff was very friendly with all interactions. The rooms we very clean, beds were super hard and squeaky. This hotel has a bar/restaurant right underneath it and one of the nights we were there the loud music was going on until 1am and the next night it was until 11pm. This didn’t really bother us as we all had earplugs but it could bother someone else. The only frustrating thing was the parking. The hotel provides free parking, but their lot is also used for the restaurant so it can be very difficult to find parking. When we arrived to park there was no parking available, so I asked the front desk staff what we could do and the response was to pay for parking on the street or to sit in the lot and wait for someone to leave, we were told this happens all of the time, so this could possibly bother someone staying here. I think next time I’d pay the extra $20 bucks a night and stay elsewhere.
