Location is excellent. We can pretty much walk to all the restaurants and places we want to go. Room furnishings are okay, but for the price, they could do a little better. Air conditioner was a little noisy. Lots of noise on the hallway during my first night. I would rate my stay at this hotel at 3.5

Hotel is in a perfect location, 10 minute walk from Clipper and short walk to centre of Victoria. Hotel was clean and staff have done their best with quite a dated facade. When we stayed there were problems with staffing and our room wasn’t serviced and reduced hours on dining. Staff were super friendly.

Having stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights in late July I would strongly recommend staying here. The staff are more than helpful to help you find restaurants or help improve your stay. We had a habour facing room which I loved watching the sea planes come and go and the working habour. We weren't in the new wing of the hotel. From the hotel you could easily walk round the bay to the old town. The weekend we stayed there was a festival which had a firework display to celebrte the end of the festivities - because we had a habour view we watched these wonderful fireworks. So although you can't really use the balcony to sit out you can see the whole show of the habour. Victoria doesn't have great weather in July and August normally (global warming ) so siting outside isn't usually an option. The pool is indoor to reflect the usual weather. We used the pool both days and although small we only shared with one other so we were happy. Finally I would like to thank the front staff for their help in sorting out our hire car. We had an Avis booked from the Airport which is about half an hour away. They rang and arrange that we could pick up the car from central Victoria Avis instead. Not only did this save us time and money getting to the airport it also saved time and petrol because the road to Tofino is back in Victoria not close to the airport up the penisular. This was so helpful.

Gorgeous location, nice restaurants, friendly staff and easy access to nice walking trails. The price was OK but the room was quite small and nothing to sit on to enjoy the view from the balcony!!! The disappointment was no one came in every day to make up the beds and clean the bathroom. I get that it wasn’t done in the height of covid but that is long gone. I didn’t see a reduction in the room cost with no room maid service so that bothered me, had I known when I booked I would not have stayed there especially at those room costs. All these companies are using covid as an excuse and to be honest I am tired of hearing about it and getting less for more money!!

Thank you for your feedback Debbie. I am sorry we disappointed you with the lack of housekeeping service. Unfortunately this is due to a labour shortage, an indirect result of the pandemic. Our intention is to get to rooms daily however we are not always able to make that happen. My apologies for any inconvenience.

We stayed 2 nights in the Erickson Wing. It is an Architectural masterpiece inside and outside . Room 264 was spacious with lovely views of the harbor ballet of float planes, ferries, pickle boats and private craft. The room had a generous balcony just above a waterfall in the garden. We left the patio door open all night to hear the water. The room was so well designed that we hid our stuff so as to not upset the aesthetic. I even hid the hotel provided hair dryer in the bathroom because is clashed with the design and furnishings. Hardly wanted to leave the room. It was a vacation in itself. Added bonus - the furniture was very comfortable.

Could be a 5-star with a few changes: 1. Bathroom faucets are very old and difficult to turn, especially with wet hands (they also turn the wrong way). I haven’t used faucets like these in a long time, and there is probably a reason. I’m wondering why, when they updated other things, did the faucets not get updated? 2. The bed is very uncomfortable/old/squeaky. I recognize that bed comfort is one of those things that is subjective and I often read about uncomfortable beds. I am not one to complain or notice this in hotels. I typically find them comfortable. This one was noticeably uncomfortable and if you are sensitive to this, you may want to look for another place to rest your head (and back). 3. Full length mirror. Most hotels have this. The lobby is beautiful and updated. Staff are friendly. The setting and view are stunning.

Rooms are sparsely furnished, floor was soaked from a leaking radiator. Because of staffing issues it is almost impossible to get into the dining area at any time. Just a poor and underwhelming experience considering the price we paid.

We came all the way from Alberta to attend a wedding at the Inn. We were blown away at how pretty it was. The photos show it. We traveled with our motor home and the valet let us keep it it nearby, parked at their hotel roundabout. Can't even tell you how much we appreciated having it so accessible. We had dinner the first night at the "Aura"...deliciousness! Our room # 305 had the most amazing view of the inner harbour and we were captivated by the activity on the water...seaplanes, ferries, a tugboat pulling a barge carrying a huge house...we were utterly amazed! The room was gorgeous, comfy beds, and the hotel is really close to all the fun things around the Harbor...the boardwalk, Fisherman's Wharf etc. We were only there two nights and the wedding we attended was fabulous because of being at the Inn, the food, the dance, the decor, the food...it could not have been better. Staff were over-the-top helpful, polite, friendly, knowledgeable. We would not hesitate to recommend, and, we will plan to come back for a vacation and stay again...wonderful!

Enjoyed three luxurious days in the TLC of the Laurel Point team. Starting with the easy-peasy reservations with Tiffany, to the helpful assistance of Brad and Kalen at the door, and the welcoming check-in with Heidi, all surpassed my usual stays at other properties. Room was well-appointed, stylish, and so comfortable. Staff throughout was friendly - going out of their way to say good morning with a smile, making me feel at home. Definitely recommend!

We have just had a very pleasant stay here! We stayed in the Laurel wing, which is clearly the older part of the hotel, but it was nonetheless very good! Our room was very spacious and had an enormous bed, sofa, desk, fridge, kettle and well-equipped bathroom with good, powerful shower over a mini bath - like shower tray. We had a small outdoor corner area, good for taking photos not through glass but too small for seats. Our room had a superb view of the inner harbour and was great for watching the seaplanes’ “runway” and the water ferries coming and going. We opted for the room service breakfast each morning. This was always delivered exactly in our specified 15-minute slot, even though they varied each day, and Carly, who brought our breakfast on two mornings, was a genuinely lovely person! Toast wasn’t great but my omelette on day one and porridge and fresh fruit on the other days were excellent! Orange juice was excellent. It is a bit of a cheek that you have to pay separately for milk with tea or cereal… One down side was that the room was quite noisy - the air con was very loud indeed, and there was some (expected) seaplane noise, but actually the noise from the corridor was the biggest issue, especially staff rattling past with some sort of trolleys, talking quite loudly and opening and shutting doors loudly, all at about 7am each morning. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the location is definitely a great plus point, with the main attractions of the city centre a short waterside walk in one direction and fisherman’s wharf a similar distance the other way.
