The beds were comfortable but a bit too firm as someone with a stiff hip. The pool facilities were stellar. Convenient location. If you'd like local character for breakfast, visit Floyd's Diner down the street.
Solid start to our 2 week vacation. Room (2 Queen beds) was a good size although at first I thought the queen beds were not exactly “queen” (I was wrong and guess I didn’t realize at first the large discrepancy between king and queen). Clean room and great view of the inner harbour. Great gym and pool downstairs that appears to be run by a local athletic club - having access to a large gym like this was a nice surprise. Can’t knock the customer service either. One lady at the front desk (German with short hair - I can’t recall her name) was especially patient with me and also provided a great breakfast recommendation (Floyd’s - great place just a block away). No complaints. Would stay again. Kids loved it too.
We had a wonderful vacation in Victoria, made even more wonderful by staying at Hotel Grand Pacific. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was ideal. Our room was spacious and the bed super comfortable.
Very rude service; no housekeeping for 3 day stay; hot room with poor AC; terrible beds; restaurant patio closes at 9:00 in summer! Toilet backed up and had yo call maintenance twice to gone; took theM 6 hours. Great location but would never stay here again.
We booked 3 nights here at the end of our Canada fly drive and what a fantastic end to our holiday. We arrived by seaplane and as the hotel is facing the harbour, we walked with our case to the hotel. On arrival, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes by the guys at the door. As it was our wedding anniversary, we were upgraded to a high floor, harbour view room and what a fantastic room it was! The view was amazing, especially at night. If you stay here, book a harbour view room, you'll be disappointed if you don't. The room itself was recently refurbished and was beautiful. There was a lovely balcony as well. The staff were beyond pleasant and all in all, a well run and efficient hotel with great staff. We didn't eat in the restaurant, choosing to walk into the centre to eat, a 2 minute walk along the fabulous harbourfront, but we did have prosecco happy hour in the bar beforehand. If you visit Victoria, stay here.…
The rooms have all been updated and were comfortable. Food was excellent. Great location and beautiful building. This is a large hotel, but easy to get around. Very modern, with a great lap pool. Highly recommend!
This was the conclusion of our 7,000-mile North American road trip, so we decided to splurge a bit on a suite with a view. But we were not expecting the opulence, not the extent of the views! This suite is a multi-room affair, with a large living and dining area spanning half the width of the hotel. There is an elegant dining room table that can seat eight, with an extra leaf in case you need to accommodate a few more guests. There is not a kitchen, but a large wet bar with plumbing. (I think the idea is you would order up dinner from the restaurant downstairs.) There is also a half bath in the dining area and a large, elegant living area. Then, a comfortable master bedroom and bathroom completes the package. Stunning, luxurious, gorgeous. Way, WAY beyond anything we were expecting. As amazing as the suite layout is, the views are even more impressive. This room looks out over the entire harbor. The MV Coho Black Ball Ferry sails in and docks right across the street several times per day. Sea planes take off and land. Tourist boats arrive and depart from the docks around the corner. And the ubiquitous water taxis flitter about energetically. An amazing sight on a sunny, July day. There are not one but three balconies in this suite: one that looks north, one that looks both north and west, and one off the master bedroom that looks west. We sat out on one or other balcony for hours watching the cheerful bustle. A shoutout to the friendly and outgoing staff: this team knows how to provide just the right amount of help – enough to quickly meet the need while not getting in the way. The cleaning team was cheerful and efficient. The valet downstairs quickly brought up the car and helped us set up the free loaner bikes. And the front desk team provided helpful dining suggestions. Bottom line: this is a place worthy of a splurge. Book the “Mount Douglas or Songhees Luxury Suite”, and you will be blown away.…
The rooms are elegant and staff were very professional. The fitness center and pool is amazing. This is definitely our first choice when staying in Victoria. Ocean views, short walk to stores and restaurants. Great restaurant and cafe
Fabulous hotel in a great location. Our room overlooked the harbour area. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel. We also had breakfast here and it was of an equally high standard. All the staff we encountered were very polite and helpful.
Everything about the hotel is excellent! More than accommodating to whatever you may need. Far exceeds expectations of service and cleanliness! Great location, within walking distance from many Victoria sights and venues.
