Loved this hotel from the moment we walked in. The views are breathtaking! Very friendly and helpful staff. Extremely clean. We decided to avoid the crowded downtown waterfront area and stay in Oak Bay. So glad we did. We had a car and there’s free hotel parking so we were able to go all over the island and even drove to Butchart Gardens (highly recommend!). The pool area is relaxing and again the views are amazing. Delicious food in the restaurant and bar areas. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel and can’t wait to go back!

While visiting Victoria with family, my fiancé and I stayed at Oak Bay—extremely romantic and in an excellent location! In the village of Oak Bay, there are nearby restaurants and shopping. It is a $20 cab fare or concierge ride to downtown. We enjoyed not staying right downtown with all the tourism and traffic. There was excellent dining on site. All staff were gracious and helpful! We really enjoyed the mineral pools and drinks at poolside. There was even a fire pit at the mineral pool where we sat one evening and enjoyed wine. The coffee shop serves great breakfast foods and coffee. The room, King Suite, partial ocean view was more spacious than we anticipated. Oak Bay truly went above and beyond our expectations in many, many ways. We would recommend anyone visiting Victoria to stay at Oak Bay Beach Hotel.

We loved the the location, outlook and wonderful service. We had never been checked in or out of a hotel so efficiently! Many lovely touches in the suite, food was delightful at cocktail reception and reunion dinner.- the front desk staff didn’t crack a smile and was very professional when I locked myself out of my room putting a tray out in the hall in my PJ’s and bare feet! Highly recommEnded!!

Arrived on Labor Day for a two night stay. The rates I feel were a tad high for after the long weekend. The view was beautiful! Only downfall was some selfish person insisted on smoking on their balcony!!! I just about tossed my cookies from the smell of the smoke! Then the culprit had to spray cologne to “hide” the smell..Good luck with that one could not enjoy the balcony because of these selfish people. There is no food choices for lactose intolerant people..No continental breakfast either.. For such high rates one would think breakfast is included? I guess NOT. Printed off boarding passes in the lobby via front desk . Nice to help but had to tell the person to (empty all history and cache on computer as lots of information is left on for prying eyes) not a very secure system for privacy. Nice that the pool is adult only was a pleasure to relax and not have to listen to loud children! Nice stay but some improvements needed to make it more reasonable for the price one pays to stay...

Dear littlesweetdee, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Though I was happy to learn about your tranquil pool experience, I was disheartened that the balance of your stay did not meet your expectations. We are a non-smoking property and make every effort to ensure our guests can enjoy the fresh pacific air. Sadly, there are those that will occasionally disregard our clean air commitments. When alerted, our staff will respond to the location as soon as possible. Our menu offerings are quite varied and do, indeed, offer an assortment of lactose-free items. Regarding breakfast, though we do not serve a “continental breakfast” by name, our morning menu does offer Greek Yogurt, Fresh Berries & Granola, Freshly Baked Pastries, Toast & Preserves, along with a selection of juices, which to many is synonymous with the traditional continental breakfast. Over and above this, we do also offer our full signature breakfast items. Please be assured that we treat our guests’ personal information with utmost care. The computer used to print your boarding pass is only accessible by our Front Desk Agents. Your boarding pass was printed and the email deleted shortly afterward. I hope this eases any concerns you may have. We look forward to an opportunity to be of service again. Kind regards, Phil Trott Assistant General Manager

After some research, we discovered Oak Bay. It's about 10 minutes drive from downtown Victoria. The Oak Bay area is more tranquil & refined than being in town - that's a plus, as this is the 3rd city in the Pacific NW that has a significant issue with homeless. We stayed in a 1 BR suite, perfect for our family. Top amenity - the Pool & Spa. Please review the hotel's policy on kids at the pool, not allowed under 16 yrs old. There were so many local options for dining we ate off site. Staff & Accommodations top shelf! Also, our suite had a full kitchen, so you may find that helpful. Butchart Gardens is less than 30 minutes away, downtown is less than 15 to the port. Really enjoyed OB!
