This is a total delight. Just minutes to the inner harbor of Victoria, yet a calm and delightful stroll along away. Step back in time, sparkly clean and the nicest people possible.no need to spend the big bucks elsewhere.

Other than the flat screen TV, a real blast from the past. Loved everything about this motel, especially the location. Oceanfront views from every room. We loved our holiday here and can't wait to go again, would definitely stay at the Surf Motel. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, close to everything we needed. Only change I would make is stay... We stayed 1 night here and really enjoyed it. Lesley, the owner was amazingly kind and welcoming! The room was clean and had everything we needed including, coffee, creamer, kitchenette and even 2 plastic chairs to sit on the balcony! Which we did a lot! The view is onto the ocean and the peer and the fact that the door... More

Such a fantastic place, we will return. So it's a 1950's -60's style motel which is probably original but the stuff you need to be 21st century is bang up to date. So the reception is like almost stepping back in time, but in a good way, the elevator smells of machine oil and is true vintage, but in a... More

We stayed here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the room we were on the third floor. The view was to die for ,nice balcony to sit out on, our room had a fridge, stove kitchen table. The lady at the front desk(sorry I forget her name) was very pleasant and gave us advice on where to eat and... More

We were so lucky to find the Surf Motel, from the outside its very retro, we saw the vacancy sign and decided to ask to see the room, we were shown a room on the 3rd floor (they have a lift).....wow, the room was light, bright and airy, double wow the view of the sea. The room had a well equipped... More

We booked this motel on recommendation and were thrilled with the choice. The motel rooms are decorated in the style of the 1960's and are immaculately clean and spacious. From the cute pink toilet and bath to the compact but very handy kitchenette, king sized bed and balcony overlooking the water, the room was an absolute delight to stay in.... More

We stayed in a second floor, corner room, at the Surf just a few weeks ago. As we approached the place I was slightly unnerved at its general outward appearance, somewhat weatherworn and dated. But inside it was a different story, clean and tidy with some fun 1960's decor touches. We got to our room to find a great view... More

All I can say is that I agree with all the other reviews. A gem I am happy I have discovered. Waking up to the amazing view in a really comfy bed. Sigh, I could do this every day. Coming back next year again, but for longer.

We were thrilled with the Surf Motel and our stay there. The rooms were spotless, spacious and very comfortable. The view was beyond awesome. We will stay there whenever we are in Victoria from now on. Friendly, courteous staff and great location as well.
