We stayed for 3 nights in a suite overlooking the (mainly empty) car park so although we heard a little traffic noise from the adjacent road it was fairly quiet overall. Suite was spacious and fairly well equipped - coffee maker, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery and glassware for 4 people, dish towels and dishwasher tablets, pots and pans but not...

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your comments regarding lack of cooking utensils, shower cap and the issue with the opaque screen doors. We will look into improving those items for better guest experience in the future. We are pleased to learn that you enjoyed our location, easy access to downtown and campus amenities. Thanks again for staying with...

If you have no car and have to stay at UBC, then ok, stay here. Otherwise there is a lot of accommodation in other areas with much better value. Our room looked at the UBC bus loop which guaranteed both noise and air pollution. Without air conditioning, you have to keep the windows open and get woken up by loud,...

This is about the only reasonable choice to stay if you want to be right by the UBC campus, barring a couple of always sold out B&Bs/hostels. Have now been there 3 times. Positives: pretty well appointed, well maintained, well located (for UBC). Actually a bit of design flair, though clear to see that flair was kept to a moderate...

We've stayed at West Coast Suites several times in the past two years. As the only on-campus hotel, it is fabulous for UBC parents. Rooms are nice-sized, include full kitchens, and very clean. The staff is super nice, and parking is inexpensive!

It was handy to be able to stay at UBC as our son was about to start an exchange year and he had a few meetings and things to sort out on the campus. But if you want to visit the city and don't have a car, it is a 30 min bus ride, though on the plus side, the bus...

We are sorry to hear that your room was not made to your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will share your comments with housekeeping for improvements. Many guests chose our location for its convenience to conduct business with the university. With our campus just outside of downtown, it does take a little bit more time travelling by transit. In...

Only thing really good about this hotel is the location on the UBC campus. We had our daughter staying in the same room and using the pull out couch. The pull out had sheets and only a thin blanket. When we asked for an additional blanket they brought up sheets and then told us that is all they have. We...

Contemporary well-equipped, spacious, clean suites. Good kitchen with all the basics. No AC, so especially the south facing units get hot in summer. There is a large bus station (central station?) right across the hotel building. Those rooms facing it get quite a bit of noise, so you should try to avoid these. I think they have suite numbers less...

Stayed here the night before a popular half marathon in Vancouver. Room was at a premium (Vancouver in the summer and on the weekend) but not as bad as other places in Vancouver. It took me 20 mins to get into the downtown (without traffic - 40 mins with traffic) by car, so was happy that it was removed but...

Thank you for taking the time to provide us your feedback. We do apology that bedding was missing from your pullout sofa bed. Our suite was comfortable for a grandmother and a teen aged granddaughter. If we had to stay in the room for the day, living with a pull out bed would have been a problem until it was made up. We discovered local restaurants and the 99 bus into Vancouver. We did not take advantage of all the activities available on...

the West Coast Suites is part of the bigger compound managed by UBC. The location and service quality are generally good.
