We stayed at the beautiful Corkscrew Inn for 6 nights. I had stayed here a few months ago and was thrilled to be coming back. Our accommodations were superb and the inn is so charming and beautiful. Karen made us feel very welcome, her breakfasts were fabulous and she was extremely helpful in providing us with information about the area... More

Recommended to us by our dearest friends (world travellers), Corkscrew did not disappoint. We've stayed at many B&B's as well, but Corkscrew will remain unforgettable. Karen wasn't there durning our stay, but Wayne filled in over and above the call of duty. Corkscrew is a home away from home in the most beautiful area of Vancouver (Kitsilano). A short walk... What an amazing place to stay - beautifully restored house (loved the many stained glass windows); delightful themed room; comfortable bed; plenty of room in the house to relax in; charming garden areas to sit in; Karen's amazing breakfasts!!! The reality far outweighed the information we gleaned from the website. The B & B was situated in a quiet neighbourhood,... More

We LOVED our stay at Corkscrew Inn. We had a very comfortable bed in a beautiful room. And Karen's breakfasts were fantastic and different each day - Lemon, ricotta pancakes, fritatas, smoked salmon egg scramble and all so delicious. Also a fantastic corkscrew collection on the property. Don't look anywhere else. Also a fun eatery (Local) and a great jazz... More

We stayed her for 2 weeks and cannot fault the accommodation. Karen made us feel totally at home the whole time. Her breakfasts were absolutely fantastic. She made sure we knew how to get around Vancouver and informed us of the best places to visit and what to avoid. We cannot recommend the Corkscrew Inn enough - it is a... More

The Corkscrew is a clean and comfortable “Craftsman-style” home. It’s charming and cosy, with attractive gardens. It’s located in a great part of Kitsilano, close to the water and parks. There are plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance. They provide a substantial and satisfying breakfast. This was our second stay here and if we get back to Vancouver... More

This was the second time I stayed at the Inn. This time I spent 13 nights while I was in an intensive residency for my program. No complaints. Excellent service, tasty meals. I have challenges with food allergies and Karen was great at keeping track of things and figuring out things that worked for me. The Arizona room, which I... More

This was our first time staying at the Corkscrew Inn and it was truly a wonderful bed and breakfast with an amazing host! Karen is super friendly and makes delicious breakfasts (plus homemade jams!). The room we stayed in (French room) was beautiful and there's free wifi. You won't regret staying here!

A stay at the Corkscrew Inn, is always memorable for me. I feel safe in this amazing neighbourhood and am so much at home in this beautiful B&B. Karen provides wonderful breakfasts and great advice for navigating Vancouver.

This was my second stay at the Corkscrew Inn and once again was treated fantastic. We had a different breakfast each morning and Karen even provided me with the recipe for her pancakes that were unbelievable. When you stay here, you are made to feel comfortable and at home. You can sit by the fireplace with a good book and... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
