Lovely room. Lovely staff. Nice amenities. Was quite hot, but there was a ceiling fan. It was very quiet. The breakfasts were delicious. They made sure I had what I liked. Everything was homemade and local.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Edwardian Room which was the smallest of the rooms however it was perfectly big enough with a nice bathroom, wardrobe and space for 3 large cases! Breakfast is served with all the other guests and was varied each morning. It is a 25 min walk to Granville Island and ferries across to downtown... More

The best B&B we have been: breakfast is delicious, everything in the room is thought with attention. It is not rhetoric to say that you feel home even if away from home. Besides Kitsilano area was to us one of the best in Vancouver and we loved walking by the beach in the morning.

We stayed for 5 nights in The Corkscrew Inn, Kitsilano area of Vancouver, situated in a leafy suburb 5 minutes walk from the beach. We were welcomed by Karen who was very helpful and friendly. The decor is inspired by and with corkscrews, and the bespoke stain glass windows are a stunning feature! Breakfast is enjoyed around a large polished wooden... More

We stayed at the beautiful Corkscrew Inn for 6 nights. I had stayed here a few months ago and was thrilled to be coming back. Our accommodations were superb and the inn is so charming and beautiful. Karen made us feel very welcome, her breakfasts were fabulous and she was extremely helpful in providing us with information about the area... More

Recommended to us by our dearest friends (world travellers), Corkscrew did not disappoint. We've stayed at many B&B's as well, but Corkscrew will remain unforgettable. Karen wasn't there durning our stay, but Wayne filled in over and above the call of duty. Corkscrew is a home away from home in the most beautiful area of Vancouver (Kitsilano). A short walk... What an amazing place to stay - beautifully restored house (loved the many stained glass windows); delightful themed room; comfortable bed; plenty of room in the house to relax in; charming garden areas to sit in; Karen's amazing breakfasts!!! The reality far outweighed the information we gleaned from the website. The B & B was situated in a quiet neighbourhood,... More

We LOVED our stay at Corkscrew Inn. We had a very comfortable bed in a beautiful room. And Karen's breakfasts were fantastic and different each day - Lemon, ricotta pancakes, fritatas, smoked salmon egg scramble and all so delicious. Also a fantastic corkscrew collection on the property. Don't look anywhere else. Also a fun eatery (Local) and a great jazz... More

We stayed her for 2 weeks and cannot fault the accommodation. Karen made us feel totally at home the whole time. Her breakfasts were absolutely fantastic. She made sure we knew how to get around Vancouver and informed us of the best places to visit and what to avoid. We cannot recommend the Corkscrew Inn enough - it is a... More

The Corkscrew is a clean and comfortable “Craftsman-style” home. It’s charming and cosy, with attractive gardens. It’s located in a great part of Kitsilano, close to the water and parks. There are plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance. They provide a substantial and satisfying breakfast. This was our second stay here and if we get back to Vancouver... More

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighborhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
