We loved Vancouver & enjoyed Opus along with it. Service was always attentive & helpful but could have lived without the insistent door bells rung by housekeeping at the typical return-to-room hours. Of course we could have remembered to put out the do not disturb signs, but we never did. The room was very clean & the bed & bedding... More

Check in and checkout were lovely if a little chaotic. Nothing wrong just simply things taking longer than they should eg printer in back office and not at front desk for receipts. Room was clean and of a reasonable size. Nice touch from house keeping when they arrived in the early evening to offer us ice and chilled water. Drink... More

Opus hotel is a well run boutique hotel in a great neighbourhood. Close to the sea wall, fabulous restaurants, subway, downtown, etc. We were upgraded to a lovely suite which included breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the best but different.

The Opus Hotel is a boutique hotel located right in the heart of Yale Town in Vancouver. Yale Town is ok for a drink or food at night, if a little pretentious. The hotel is close to the metro and walks along the waterfront. When arriving we were greeted by friendly staff with the offer of a glass of prosecco... More

I loved the modern interiors, hotel was clean, people nice. Very comfortable bed. Close to city center. I loved the atmosphere and would definitely be back. Not the cheapest hotel but Vancouver is not a cheap place to stay over.

We chose the hotel because of its location. It's a short walk to many of the best restaurants and to the harbor ferries. Using their bikes or rentals from down the street, you can access the path along the water front. It continues for miles, all the way through and around Stanley Park and beyond, largely off of the streets.... More

The service was fantastic, and the bar attached was good. Location right in the heart of yaletown, so a lot going on. Unfort the location overall feels kinda "fratty". Beyond that though the hotel...The bathrooms really need a total redo of all materials. Feels old and not super quality. The entire wall in the bathroom being a window is a... More

I've rounded up to 5 rather than down to 4 because the hotel handled an issue with such incredible grace and hospitality. Things go wrong, and how issues are resolved speaks volumes as to the service ethic of a hotel. OPUS hit it out of the park in this case. Everyone at this hotel is a consummate professional and a... Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighborhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.
