The overall experience was very positive. The room was spacious and elegant, well equipped. The location near the sea in Yaletown was perfect. Excellent public transport connections next to the hotel, and the possibility to rent a bike from the hotel as well as elsewhere nearby. Vancouver's bike lanes are exemplary. The service in the hotel was friendly and the welcome drink (mineral water or rosé) was very much appreciated in a hot day, in particular. Then the negatives: The bathroom was the only part of the room with a window. The window was large and if the stores were not down, there was a full display to those walking in the street or waiting for a bus across the street. The bathroom was equipped with shower, which was badly designed. It was impossible to turn the water on without becoming wet right away. And of course, when turning the water on, it was first freezing cold. There was a daily cleaning of the room except when there was not. No explanation or apology for why the room was not cleaned. When you pay over 300€/night you expect the room to be cleaned every day. I do not accept COVID as an excuse any more (it was not given as one). …
I brought my group to stay at the Opus Hotel, not really knowing what to expect. The staff at the Opus far exceeded our expectations, and we cannot wait to stay again. From the complementary waters and sparkling wine at check-in, the extra assistance in making dinner reservations, and the customer service we received from Scott and his team, I was blown away by our experience. The hotel is located in a very centralized location in Yaletown and immediately across the street from the Canada Line, making it easy to get to from the airport. It's a couple blocks away from the water, giving you easy access to Granville Island as well. There are tons of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and the area feels very clean and safe. Highly recommended for your stay in Vancouver!
I just need to write this testimonial review as we very much enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Opus Hotel at Yaletown Vancouver BC Canada. It's our first time to visit this place and having travelled many countries in Europe / Asia / Australia the very friendly nature of the front DUTY MANAGER Scott Caporale as welcome host provider of the hotel made him stand out as an asset employee to the hotel. Reviews are very powerful tool measurements of guest experiences hence I must say to Sarah Valley (GM) YOU GOT AN EXEMPLARY HIGH ACHIEVING PROFESSIONAL Duty Manager that is always customer focus and deserve commendation for his consistent positive performance in this competitive travel accommodation market. Before we our stay I quickly read the previous reviews and rightly correct that Scott has always been mentioned and for us to experienced it with the room presentation, restaurant facilities and vibrant location was the BEST experience for our family and will be back again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ALL!…
This is a beautiful hotel - colourful, comfortable, surrounded by restaurants, 2 minute walk from the marina and waterfront. The highlight though is the service - friendly, efficient, caring. And they love your pets.
Great location in Vancouver. Easy to walk to everything eating shopping etc. highly recommend. Service and staff were wonderful. Easy check in precess. I would stay at the OPUS Hotel again! I give this hotel 5 stars
The hotel is across the street from the Yaletown train stop. There are a lot of very nice restaurants within a few blocks. The location was perfect. The room has a very comfortable bed. The shower has great water pressure. Plenty of closet and dresser space. The in-room refrigerator is great for cold drinks.
Great boutique hotel, in a fabulous location! The people that work there made our stay wonderful. They were so very helpful in every way! Room was nice, too much furniture though. Could live without the couch, to have more room for suitcases. Bathroom is so nice and big, great shower, Maybe needs a few more rugs to avoid slipping while floor is wet.
I don’t think you will be disappointed with Opus. It was fun to be offered a glass of rose on arrival! The staff, front desk and outside service were very accommodating. Lots of restaurants to choose from for brunch and supper. Close to Grandville Island by Aquaboat.
The rooms are great and the location is perfect. The only negative was the slow and inattentive service in the restaurant. We waited for more than 15 minutes to get drinks- which would be understandable had the bar been busy- but we were the only people there. The rooms are comfortable although a bit small- and the noise outside can be rather loud at times- although I suspect it was mostly due to a holiday weekend.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much bother would definitely recommend. The rooms were lovely and clean and toiletries very good. Would definitely recommend
