Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.

First and foremost, the staff at this hotel were really helpful and friendly. We spent two weeks travelling around BC and these guys won the prize for customer service. The hotel is clean and well maintained, however our room was a little small. The hotel location is great. Close to everything central.

The hotel is in a great location. Close to Granville Island, the ferries and the sea wall. Walking distance to a lot of great places, restaurants and shops. The hotel is currently surrounded by construction on 4 sides which gives a lot of noise. The rooms are very simple and small, not too clean. Housekeeping did not refresh our shampoos and we were left with empty bottles. Bad air conditioning blowing over the bed and we both woke up with our eyes swollen and stiff necks. The room feels tired even though the bathrooms are renovated (not great). Would not stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while on a combined work/vacation. Location allowed easy access to downtown entertainment and restaurants. We enjoyed morning runs along the water through the park. The construction next door detracted a bit from the aesthetics, but overall good value for the area.

We were very happy with our 1 night midweek stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable and we particularly appreciated the two armchairs and desk. We weren't too bothered with the construction noise, as it was mainly hammering but we did have a problem with the air conditioning constantly switching on and off - in the end, we turned it off completely as the weather wasn't hot. We enjoyed the breakfast, which we prepaid at booking time at a very reasonable rate..The overnight parking was a bargain compared to downtown.

This hotel is in a good spot, I was there on the weekend so the close building site was not noisy. The only down was that the air conditioner was very noisy, but I was able to open windows to let fresh air in. Very friendly and some good social connectors (free wine tasting daily) makes this hotel good value for what others are charging in the same area.
