The 1-bedroom condo had a great water view, and the bed and kitchen were spacious and very fluffy. I was within walking distance to everything downtown had to offer, including Yaletown, English Bay, and Robson Street.

This was a great place to stay after a long day of flying. The room was very nice, super clean, and bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast at the restaurant was also excellent, so overall great stay.

We had booked an evening concert at the Commodore and did not relish the idea of driving back to Abbotsford in the wee hours of the morning. It was awesome to be close enough to walk to our hotel and enjoy this getaway, away from home in a downtown setting.

Great location, walking distance to the heart of the city. Short boat ride to Granville Island. Clean and cozy room with great coffee and great view. Friendly staff. Parking available and included in our room rate. Great value for money. Our second visit, more to come!

Great location, minutes from everything. Staff are professional, courteous and personable. Clean, well-appointed room, comfy bed. Well-stocked minibar/fridge with room for my stuff. Nice touch of a wine tasting hour each evening. Didn't partake of the restaurant, but noted reasonable prices. The hotel is older, but well maintained. I was there on a Groupon offer, so extremely good value.

We were on the 8th floor and the traffic never ends and it was noisy. The rooms were clean but cluttered with worn and dated furniture. The shower was uncomfortable water pressure was strong. Bathroom wall paper peeling in places. A repair done to a section of wall paper with what looks like a stapler. There was a shuttle but...

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
