Well, the motel is situated close to the poor part of the city. Not that poor is bad but when you see the strange people just a few blocks down especially closer to the train station and Hastings, you will know what I mean. The reception was abrupt and albeit unfriendly. the room we got was on the second floor.... More

No surprises but quite acceptable, staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, beds comfortable. No in room coffee but available in the lobby, no fridge. No air conditioning but what do you expect for the price. Will stay here again rather than pay upwards of $400.00 elsewhere.

I have stayed in many cheap motels. I considered most, if not all of them to be fine. This was the worst motel I have ever been in. The chair, the bedspread and the rug in the room were obviously dirty. There were no towels and no shampoo. I had to walk up to a window at the office to... More

Disappointing stay. Although well placed with bus and train services it provided little in the way of normal services. No fridge or tea/coffee facilities in the room. Security questionable. The bed however was very comfortable and the neighbourhood relatively quiet.

I recently stayed here with my two boys. The location is ideal. Located to major transit routes shopping and restaurants. The staff are very helpful and rooms were standard size and clean. The rates are very reasonable, especially if your on a budget. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the City Center Motor Hotel as a clean place... More

Do not book with this place! Front desk staff is exceptionally rude and did not inform guest, my relative, there was a phone call and vital message that needed to be taken. I do not believe there is much more to add..think carefully before booking here.

Well ... it had a bed. And a TV that worked. And a shower. VERY basic. I didn't find any bedbugs (and I really looked!). No shampoo, hair dryer but they did have soap. And ... a real bonus ... it had a bottle opener in the bathroom! Who needs shampoo, right ... but a bottle opener ... that's a... More

BED BUGS. That is all. Don't go anywhere near this place. So gross. It was smelly and felt unclean but for some reason we stayed the night. My partner woke up with bites all over his head neck and torso and soon broke out in a severe allergic reaction. Horrible.

The hotel has a good price for budget travellers wanting to stay pretty close to Vancouver Centre, but other then that there's no reason to stay there. Personel ( desk and cleaners) were very friendly, but the room lacked any comfort. No refrigerator, no microwave, no double glazing ( and on Main Street means traffic from early morning to late... Don't go!! My husband had bed bug bites all over him. I wish we had checked these reviews before staying. We were given a refund in the morning but have spent so much time cleaning our stuff to ensure we don't bring bugs home. It may be cheap, but it's not worth it! Additionally, the evening staff person was super... More

Staying in Southeast False Creek

Neighborhood Profile
Southeast False Creek
Developed alongside the Vancouver Olympic Village for the 2010 Winter Games, a past fraught with hardship has recently been overcome, and builders are changing the landscape on the ground of Southeast False Creek at a rapid pace. With waterfront dining, ultra-modern facilities, sports stadiums, and a load of greenery, parks, and rest spots built into the ever-changing infrastructure, it's a fast-paced and mutable spot to see Vancouver taking shape and making history. It is especially popular for the casual sportsman, as the Seawall on the water makes for one of the most scenic locations for cycling or roller-blading, jogging or strolling.
