Staff is wonderful. Hotel located conveniently to shopping, restaurants and a short walk to convention center. Requested a refrigerator which was delivered without question promptly. Health club is minimal.

We held a business conference here. The entrance is nice and modern. The conference rooms were good, just very cold. The bar is nice. The service is good. They had a lot of staff to support our event and everything run well. The rooms are quite dated, the bathroom was quite old but clean. The room was generally clean, except...

One of the finest hotels that I have ever stayed in. Facilities, service, location are all superb. Located in the middle of the downtown area, located close to many shopping and cultural activities. I look forward to visiting Vancover again and staying here in this hotel!

Beautiful old hotel has been renovated so it looks like every other mediocre hotel in North America. Under construction and they don't tell you. Lobby is cramped and busy. Pool was dirty. Never saw it cleaned in 3 days although lots of people using it.

I was a little wary because I knew the Fairmont was going through renovations, but to my great surprise many of them had been completed and the new pool and gym had just reopened three days before our arrival. We went to this hotel independently, then to join a tour. It's really close to the Skytrain station. Check in was really quick & efficient. We called at the Concierge to find one of the hotel dogs called Bo,a lovely Golden Lab. Our room, although quite a distance from the lift, had an amazing view of the Art Gallery & square. The room...

I only stayed in this hotel for one night, but it was beautiful. Luxury shops and expensive restaurants on the first floor. The walls were paper thin--easy to hear your neighbors. Good views if you can get on the upper floors. Not sure if it is worth the price.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
