We booked the Suite for a long weekend in Vancouver. The space is lovely, very peaceful and functional. Also Christopher left us some delicious, local pastries. Street parking was surprisingly easy in this area- it was a great place to stay, highly recommend!
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. Christopher is a gracious, warm and helpful host. This was our first stay in Vancouver in a long while and we chose KK from a great number of choices. A very reasonable rate for the best place to stay in Vancouver halfway between Broadway and Fourth. Everything you need is within walking distance. Parking is first come first serve but there were always spaces. Christopher laid out a nice spread of pastries and bread and some healthy beverages to boot. We are heading back to Vancouver in August and would have booked again but there was no vacancy. Our secret is out! The Cottage is a Kastle.
From the moment we were greeted by Christopher at Kitsilano Cottage, we knew this was going to be a memorable time in Vancouver. With soft music playing in the background, Christopher introduced us to his suite and to his impeccable skills as a host. A basket of organic fruit, fresh baked goods, wine, and chocolate were meticulously laid out on the kitchen counter. The fridge was stocked with organic butter, jam, cream, milk, bottled water and juice. Everything needed for a tasty breakfast, which lasted our entire stay. As a coffee 'snob', I was particularly impressed with Christopher's selection of machinery (French press, espresso and drip coffee machines) and freshly roasted coffee beans. He even had coffee ground for the espresso machine as he didn't feel his machine did it fine enough. Fresh flowers in every room only added to the ambiance. The beds were extremely comfortable and the amenities beyond expectations. This was like a 5 star hotel with the comforts of home. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to shops and restaurants on both West Broadway and West 4th and only 7 short blocks to the beach. We didn't even bother venturing into downtown Vancouver as we enjoyed the eclectic Kitsilano neighbourhood. The Eatery was a particular favourite. I loved having coffee on the patio early morning, listening to the birds chirping. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at A Suite @ Kitsilano Cottage and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Vancouver.…
We are always cautious about returning somewhere we loved and we hadn't stayed here for 10 years so we were delighted to find it as good as we remembered if not better! The suite is spacious, fantastically well equipped, extremely clean and in a great part of town. Ideal place for a family to stay. We enjoyed the generous baskets of baked goods and fruit. As a host Christopher had gone the extra mile with little touches such as fresh flowers, magazines and CDs to ensure we felt welcome and at home. In addition Kitsilano is a very peaceful location and there was no problem with parking. Nice cafes and restaurants a short stroll away. Hope to return again.
We stayed in early September, 2 adults and 2 teenagers and found the 2 bedroomed suite to be completely perfect. The location is ideal, walking distance to the beach, great resturants but so peaceful. The suite itself is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and fully equipped. The welcome basket of breads, muffins, cookies was devine and we had enough to use for breakfast for our whole 3 day stay. There was also great coffee and a bottle of wonderful red wine that was greatly appreciated! Christopher the owner, was so welcoming and helpful. There is a brillant folder in the house covering your every need. All in all I highly recommend this place.
