Before I start complaining, I'd like to compliment the personnel at the front desk. They are friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are average and the beds are so-so. Unfortunately, we forgot our rule about asking for an upper floor room...More
The hotel itself and the room we were in are just average. The front desk staff however are very helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to accommodate you. The location is good in that it is a short walk to the cruise...More
This is a 3* hotel, don‘t expect luxury... But if you have a quiet room to the back (NOT on Pender!), it‘s really worth the money. You are closest to everything, to Canada Place with the Cruiseship Terminal, but also almost any bus and sky...More
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of
Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.

You can take the Sky train (which becomes a subway once it gets closer to town and get to a stop relatively close) It is a relatively short walk, but depending on which stop you get off, you might have an uphill climb. So as long as everyone is fit. The price from the airport to the hotel is regulated so you don't have to worry about someone pushing up the fare on you if you decide to go by cab. We went by cab, and we also rode the subway out tot the airport just for fun. However, when we left our hotel to go to the airport to return home, we took a cab.
