I am not usually a picky person, so I will start this review with the non negatives !!. You know you are going to be leaving SOON. The other one You DONT have to stay here. GOOD start. We drove down a lovely street to find the B&B on the right, so I pulled into the driveway (as I was... More

I am so sorry you had an unpleasant one night stay with us. We endeavor to please all our guests, but sometimes appear to come up short with cold toast , limited parking and wrinkled carpets, we will try to improve for future guests, and appreciate your comments. More

The staff were very good at accommodating us on short notice, the biggest problem is they are on booking dot com and as a local user it is too hard to get a room. We stayed due to family being in the Vancouver general hospital as the location is very convenient. We managed to get two rooms for one night... More

First, I am what you call a "B& connoisseur", always staying in this type of accommodation for the opportunity to meet others and stay in a "home-like" atmosphere. This definitely fits that bill. You'll find your room key and information in an envelope taped to the door but, at most times, Leslie is there with a friendly hello and great... More

We chose the Windsor Guest House for its location. Great access to the places we wanted to go! We stayed in the Henry Room (basement, twin beds). It was very small (open your suitcases on your bed, close them up again to store them so you can sleep)l but very reasonable as we were just ducking in to sleep and... More

Very nice "family" atmosphere. Close to W. Broadway/ Mt. Pleasant area but a bit of a walk downtown. Great breakfast and friendly staff. No real check-in and no one there to greet us, but that is the family, informal atmosphere. Elizabeth room pleasant and has it's own bathroom. Plenty of restaurants and local shopping in easy walking distance.

The B&B is located in a nice area of Vancouver with good reach of Downtown. We stayed in a small but cosy room on the top floor. A small balcony allows for a good night drink including nice view over the city. Breakfast is well prepared by friendly staff. Supermarkets and coffee/restaurant chains are in foot reach.

This guest house is not bad at all. It's really charming and well kept. The location is pretty good, not too far from a metro station, just have to walk 5 or 10 minutes and you're there. It's near the city hall and the neighbourhood is very pretty. We were in a tiny room. We didn't like it that much... More

Great central location of Vancouver in a lovely neighborhood. Clean comfortable rooms with nice linens. Bathrooms clean and roomy. Cooked to order breakfast available as well as fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, coffee & juice. Free Wifi as well as a computer available in the front room. I would recommend and would stay here again. It's a true Home away from... More

Had a wonderful stay. Great B&B in walking distance to many amenities. Obviously downtown Vancouver is a distance away it sure beats a downtown hotel. Breakfast was basic but good. The place was full so obviously popular. Would stay again.

1. Would we consider staying at the Windsor Guest House the next time we are in Vancouver? The answer is NO. 2. Pro - The best aspects of our three nights there were the cleanliness, two excellent breakfasts, and the location which was easy walking distance to many restaurants etc and it actually made possible a long and beautiful walk... Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighborhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
