I arrived early from my last hotel so left my bags and asked for recommendations where to go, both one for lunch at Granville Island and Sala Thai were both good (see reviews) The hotel is spacious but compact, check in/out is efficient and friendly...More
The location of the hotel is really good, very close to the shopping and restaurants area in downtown, about a 10 minute walk. Took a Queen Suite and the room was modern and spacious, only the shower was a little cramped. Staff were very friendly...More
This hotel is 3 stars but I believe that deserves 4 stars.
It is very well located with close access to public transport stations which could connect you to every where in Vancouver. Shops, restaurants, banks, offices, nightlife and everything you might need is just...More
Positives: Pleasant staff, reasonable location
Negatives: Very Old and tired. This hotel consists of a couple of adjacent buildings that have been joined to increase capacity. No big deal I guess but the rooms are very dated, old and noisy air-conditioning units, a jerky old...More
The hotel is rated 3 stars, situated at the corners of Howe and Helmcken Sts. Quite a walk towards Canada Place/Convention Ctr. It has a PWD ramp, the check in and outs were a breeze. However, you have to take a lift with your luggage...More

A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along
with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
