Me and my boy stayed there for a few days for 2014 Grey Cup. The house is great, Helen is better. Nothing to complain about at all. Close to all transit. Helen has several options for rooms...we really liked our main house rooms. If your lucky, you may hear her play her harp.

We stayed at Helen's for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Helen met us as if we were old friends and had fresh, homemade cinnamon buns for us. Her accommodation is very clean, spacious and quiet. It would be perfect for anyone needing to stay longer. Helen is very helpful and went beyond her role as host when she...

We stayed 5 days at Helen's and were delighted. The large cosy basement apartment is full of homely touches, pictures and chintzy furniture, giving it the feel of a European home, A huge room is split into 2 areas- at one end a large comfortable double bed , wardrobe and dressers, at the other a very relaxing lounge with sofas, armchairs,...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in early August, 2013. Helen welcomed us, provided us with cinnamon rolls and other good items to eat and drink. We stayed in the basement apartment, which is large and stayed pleasantly cool in the warmer than usual days when we were there. She was convivial and warm without being intrusive....

We spent some time with Helen last weekend. Helen's Place is lovely and Helen, herself, is charming. The location can't be beat - close to town, the VanDusen Gardens, Queen Elizabeth Park, etc. We look forward to more time with Helen and Alfred at Helen's Place.

We stayed at Helen's B&B for 2 weeks at the beginning of May. Our newborn baby was at the BC Children's Hospital, so we needed a place that was close. Helen's is a 4 minute walk away. Perfect. Helen is absolutely the best host to be running a B&B, she is genuine, caring, and keeps a very clean home. She...

Staying in Shaughnessy

Neighborhood Profile
Shaughnessy
Residential neighbourhood to the ultra-wealthy, the gorgeous manor houses centred around The Crescent area are a fabled sight to behold. Shaughnessy is Vancouver's most verdant plotted neighbourhood, and its tree-lined streets, walking routes, bike trails, and charming public parks make for an ideal location to spend and afternoon communing with nature. Consequently, it is also the botanical centre of the city, featuring conservatories and an expansive Botanical Garden, taming and sculpting the wild into seasonal viewing areas and enchanting landscapes. Quiet, elegant Shaughnessy excels at providing the Three Gs: Gardens, Golfing, and Galleries.
