This is a simple, clean and kind of funky old inn. It is right downtown Vancouver in a very busy location, near many things. Rooms are small, but adequate. Staff is very nice.
The breakfast is lame. It was only bagels, orange slices and coffee,...More
We were placed in a room with a 3/4 double bed which we wernt too concerned about although the heat in the room was horrendous! We had a small fan which didnt even help matters. This really was the warmest hotel i have slept in....More
Clean and homey. Breakfast funny but adequate. Big like to 24 hour tv room with tea and coffee. Staff is very friendly and contributed to a less lonely stay for a lonesome traveller. Had a shared bathroom and did not experience any inconvenience because of...More

Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also
popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.

The rooms I've stayed in both times I was there were the same. They are small rooms but ample for one person. There is the bed, desk and chair. There is a mirror and a sink in room. The shared bathrooms are just down the hall plus there are some on other floors. I never had a time I had to wait. I personally was never bothered by construction noise. It is an older hotel so no air conditioning but there is a fan and the window does open. It was fine for me and I was there in August. There are many little alcoves with comfy chairs around the place if you want to sit and read. Staff are extremely helpful. My room didn't have a tv. Not sure what the bigger rooms are like. It is so central to everything. The morning continental is adequate. Toast or bagel, juice, coffee, tea. Not sure what else. I hope this helps.
