My husband and I stayed at Kingston House September 14-17 and enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was a double with its own bathroom It was small but immaculately maintained, Every one who works there was both friendly and professional, especially Sean. The continental breakfast was truly that - just something to start your day. The hotel is central... More

We stayed one night in mid-September. We reserved a room with a shared bathroom. The room was quite small and without a tv, but we knew that going in. There was a sink and mirror for washing up plus extra toiletries and a robe for the trip to the shower/bathroom. The bathroom was about 10 feet from the room and... More

The hotel is located in the middle of downtown which makes it very convenient. Besides this I can't really recommend it for a business trip. No AC in the rooms, with the windows open the rooms are loud. Breakfast is cereal, oatmeal or bagels only The phone wasn't working in my room; many rooms have shared bathrooms (not mine). All... Good solid hotel in downtown Vancouver that won't break the bank (accommodation in Vancouver is notoriously expensive). Slightly old-fashioned but not down-at-heel. Right downtown (three blocks from City Centre and Skytrain), but not noisy or exorbitant. Quick walk to restaurants (there's also a pub right next door). Pleasant and helpful staff. Good wifi. Computer and printer available for boarding passes,... More

At first glance of the hotel, I thought to myself "why would she book us a place like this?". However, once we walked through the door and we're greater by the friendly staff, my perspective changed. We went up to our room on the second floor, and noticed right away that the room was smaller than I was expecting. After... More

I stayed in a room with a private bathroom in this hotel for three nights in August 2016. I was traveling alone. It was a wonderful experience! The room, though small, was quite adequate. The bathroom was very neat & clean and soap / shampoo re-filled every day. The Wi-fi worked just fine. One good feature of this hotel is... More

Staff was very friendly. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable except for the large shower which had a strong moldy smell so we did not use it. Luckily we only was staying one night so it was not a problem.

Right in downtown Vancouver, & handy for all the sights & transport. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, neat little room & shared bathrooms all immaculately maintained. Simple, but adequate breakfast which set us up for the day. Handy to have fast internet, a shared office corner with printer & a laundry room. We stayed 8 nights over 2 visits & would... More

Wonderful place to stay, walking distance to everywhere downtown. Sean was the best, helpful with recommendations and directions. Went to Granville Island and Stanley Park. We were there for 2 nights before an Alaskan Cruise. Everyone at Kingston B&B, as well as the Kingston Grill / Bar next door was super friendly. Not to mention that we got a discount... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
