This is our go-to hotel in Vancouver for many years already. The rooms are slightly dated, but the huge living room and kitchenette makes up for it. The price is always more reasonable compared to other hotels in the downtown area, not to mention these hotels have much smaller rooms. The location is a bit further away from the Skytrain station, but a little downtown walk is fine for us. Hopefully Century Plaza Hotel can maintain the quality of their rooms and we're looking forward to future stays.
We booked a studio suite for two nights before our cruise to Alaska and were delighted by the size and cleanliness of the room. The hotel is well located. We wanted to book a HopOn-HopOff Bus Tour and had questions about nearby restaurants and the staff were very helpful, patient and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Vancouver at an affordable price.
Absolutely lovely stay hard room in 30th floor with great view. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous . Location was excellent. I had excellent experience. I can’t complain about anything. Price was also spot on. Recommend staying here good Downtown location.
Room 2012 on the 12 th floor. Nice clean room,The carpets could do with renewing ,some tiling in the bathroom cracked apart from that I was a happy bunny on holiday. This room faces the church and the new Butterfly tower block building. For what I paid I have no complaints at all.The room maid did a great job so thank you to you. This hotel is central for everything the 22 and 44 bus stop right outside they can take you downtown or towards Kits. The Burrard skytrain station is about 10 minutes walk.In downtown Vancouver you can pay alot more or alot less for your room.I was very happy with what I paid and pleasantly surprised by the large suit that was mine for 11 days. The kitchen area had fridge freezer, microwave kettle coffee maker everything to cook at home.It was my home for 11 days.No USB charging ports in my room to charge up phone laptop etc.…
Laid down after a long day of travel then noticed small bed bugs crawling towards me. It was one and then more came out. Found more on the other double bed near the pillow cases. Immediately called front desk for another room. They provided one on the 14th floor, but that was all they did. No comp breakfast, dinner or even an apology. It was crazy. They acted as if it was normal. The night manager said they would reach out with something for the inconvenience, but nothing ever came of it. The shower rod was bent downward so the shower curtain was in the shower. The heater wouldnt turn down and was always at 75f so we had to keep the patio door slightly open. The bathroom sink was clogged and had a slow drain. The bathroom vanity light kept randomly turning off so wed be in the dark. I told front desk about this but they never fixed the issue. Two of the 4 elevators were broke so we had to wait a long time to either get up to our floor or down to the lobby. There is no gym on site. The bathroom bar soap is cheap so be sure to bring your own. The ice machine on 5th floor was broken as well so you had to go down to the lobby to get the ice. We requested to have some brought up but the night shift was short of people. Overall it was an interesting stay. The staff were friendly and the location was great, but the rooms and hospitality need work. Id stay at the Sandman Suites on Davie next time, which was my first option anyway. I wouldnt stay here again. To the hotel: booking via 3rd party shouldnt mean you stick us in a room with a cheap mattress and bedbugs. It also doesnt mean theres nothing you can do to make it right for the guest for the inconvenience. …
BEDBUGS! And a rat! Came home eaten alive. We still are traumatized. When we were leaving, we told three people at the front desk and showed them our bites, and one of them said “we can’t give you a discount because you already have one”. Trust me, that’s not at all what we were looking for (work trip). We just wanted them to check out the room so the next person doesn’t meet our fate. The carpets are dark brown so impossible to check for bugs. So gross! The bites were so numerous all over our bodies. It was so bad that the RAT is secondary….
Hotel was lovely snd clean. Check in was rather awkward as they were in middle of a computer upgrade. My reason for a three was no hot water. On 29th floor we ran the taps for 25/30 mins before slightly warm water can. It didn’t last. The same for the shower which remained tepid on both days. The hairdryer also was only partially working. These two factors ruined what was otherwise a nice bisit
This hotel could be great but it's single glazed windows are a huge problem because of the busy location across the road from St Paul's hospital. The sound of sirens were relentless through out the night and even on the 26th floor it was super loud. After 3 nights I was suffering from sleep deprivation. Even sleeping with noise cancelling headphones did little to damper the noise. This hotel needs triple glazed windows. One single piece of glass is simply like a huge hole in the wall. A real shame because the bed was super comfy, the staff great, and the room spacious and clean
The hotel is old, rooms look very used. Curtains that did not close well, curtains had tears, stains on the carpet. If you asked the frontdesk tourist information they gave you a leaflet from the hop on hop off bus.All in all it is not the hotel where I ever will come back.
¡Congratulation! everything was gratefull, we hope come back next year in order to enjoy more amenities and know more Vancouver sites. The service in the restayrant was excellent and taste loves. Thank you so much.
