First impression was that the hotel was not very clean. Most paint on walls is chipped and looks dirty. Bathroom was updated and clean which was a plus. Was woken up at 4:30 am from the moaning / banging of bedframes, which I suppose you...More
NOTE: There is no elevator (or lift) in this hotel! I did not notice this detail in my booking confirmation so it was a surprise when we arrived and had to haul our suitcases up to the 3rd floor upon arrival and back down again...More

Robson Street is a shopper's paradise. Whether a window shopper or a serious trendsetter, a fashionista or a dabbler, the crowd of independent boutiques, quirky one-off shops, and well-known luxury brands on Robson Street have something to cater for every itch in your wallet. As a result, it draws a diverse crowd, and the people-watching along this famous walking thoroughfare is a primary attraction. In between the
clothing shops both high-street and budget-friendly are a number of cafes to lay down your load, as well as numerous specialty stores ranging in their wares from music, to art, to city souvenirs. Known as "Vancouver's Runway," if a new trend is on the rise, you'd spot it here first.

Stayed at the Barclay Hotel at the end of May. We had a non smoking room, but I do not know if all the hotel is non smoking. Parking is available in the car park almost next door at a cost of $20 per night, but cars have to be moved by 11:am unless you pay another $20, which takes you through to 11:00 am the following day.
