Room is small and stuffy even with windows opened or air-conditioner. The bunk bed tends to create noise when the upper deck occupant moves. Restroom is spacious but the glass panel for shower is too small for body turnaround. No place to put toiletries.

We were only in Vancouver for a stopover from somewhere else in Canada and had to catch a bus the next day from Vancouver to Seattle, only spending an evening there I really didn't like Vancouver. Lots of homeless and its very grubby and boring, not a lot to see to be honest. But anyway.. The hostel was the only...

I stayed in the Vancouver Central hostel for a week. The best parts of the hostel are the convenient location, the friendly staff and the clean bathrooms. Unfortunately the rooms are a little dated and cramped and the kitchen is very small (especially apparent during breakfast time). Regardless, I would definitely stay here again :)

This hostel was not the best I've stayed in, but was not bad either. There isn't a lot of space for breakfast, everyone was sort of jumping over each other. For a big place the layout was a bit strange. The staff were helpful, but I was disappointed about the activities on offer. There were no bar crawl type activities...

Had a good 4-nught stay here. Staff were helpful, room and bathrooms were clean, and we had a quiet room at the back of the building on the third floor. Only gripe is some of the worst wifi we have experienced in half a year of travelling. Very frustrating yet very easy to sort out, it's 2016!

The first hostel I've stayed in and it's set the bar high. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean, staff are friendly and wifis strong. Good central location too but the rooms were quiet. It's part of a larger network of hostels, will definitely be staying with them again later in my trip.

The location of this hostel is perfect- right off Granville street in the centre of downtown Vancouver! The hostel from the outside looks a little rundown and there are often homeless people around- but don't be put off, the inside makes up for this greatly! The room was modern and had a sink as well as individual lockers. The bathrooms...

We stayed for 4 nights in a dorm with 2 beds. The place was perfectly clean as where the bathrooms. The staff is very lovely and an elevator is also very nice to have. There is no kitchen so you need to microwave your food or eat somewhere else but it's a small price to pay for a very comfy...

Stayed here on a two night layover, close to the sky train about 5 minute walk. one of the cheaper transits from airport costing only $9. The hostel is clean, comfortable beds ( we had private room with ensuite) and good hot showers. Breakfast is included cereals, fresh fruit, muffins, toast, tea coffee and juices which we thoroughly enjoyed. I...

This is a Hostels International facility and is a basic alternative to the relatively expensive Vancouver hotels. Our room was old but clean as was the bathroom. The hostel is located in a convenient though somewhat sleezy area of the downtown entertainment precinct. Staff were very helpful.

Staying in Granville Street

Neighborhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
