The YWCA hotel was a warm, friendly, diverse home away from home in Vancouver. The room was spacious and super clean. Hotel personnel were friendly and very helpful and accommodating. Location was outstanding as far as access to restaurants as well as public transportation. We will definitely stay here again if we're in Vancouver.

Check in was lovely. I was even offered a choice of a room closer to a kitchen. I opted to not be by the kitchen, and stayed on a lower floor. The room was lovely, and clean. I stayed in a double room with a private shower. The hotel was close to everything I needed to do, the staff were...

A hotel close to the skin train station which is well connected to different links to reach to nearby Vancouver. There are many restaurants and shops around. The hotel also has kitchens and laundry facility. Staff is friendly and very helpful, a good place to stay !

We couldn't fault the service from check in to check out. Comfortable beds, ensuite was more than adequate and the location of the hotel is perfect within such easy walking to shopping and restaurants. When you compare the cost with other hotels, why would you not stay here?

I love it here. It's spotless, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great bed, shower water pressure and linens. Close to everything I come to Vancouver to do. It's just blocks from the hockey arena, SkyTrain, shopping.and dining.

I came to Vancouver from Victoria, BC. My 80yr old Mother and I took Transit and Sky Train in from the Ferry at Tswassen. The Hotel was 2 blocks from the Station. We went to see the Canucks at Rogers Arena on Thursday and I went to a Concert at The Queen Elizabeth Theater on Friday. Rogers is a 5...

I was in town on business and this was an affordable, handy, clean and friendly place to stay. The room was a good size and was quiet. It is a few blocks from the skytrain which is handy when flying in. About 45 minutes from getting off the plane to walking in the front door of the Y. I stay...

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was central to where we wanted to go. The staff were always willing to help and give assistance when needed. If they weren't sure they looked up the information for us. Would highly recommend this hotel. The room was clean, bathroom clean and bed comfortable.

The YWCA Hotel is the best place I have found in Vancouver to stay. They are dedicated to helping the community members and profits help social justice issues,. The staff is always courteous & friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean rooms. And do you know what I like best of all? I love their comfortable beds.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
