Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.

Our stay at The Burrard was a great way to kick off my vacation. The location is great -- not too far from anything, and close to public transportation too when you're tired of walking or paying for cabs. The design of the public spaces and rooms is so fun and cheerful, especially the courtyard, which our room looked out on. I also loved getting breakfast at Elysian, the cafe downstairs.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The rooms are small, but considering the location and tons of free amenities, we would absolutely stay here again. Everything was clean, and the staff was very friendly as well. To top it all off, there’s a great local coffee shop in the building!

Very central, clean and well equipped. Quirky style, lovely central courtyard. Staff very warm & friendly and very professional. Rooms with two double beds and plenty of room, bathroom small but well equipped. Excellent coffee machine and selection of teas, water in fridge and a bar of chocolate on bed! Overall an excellent and characterful hotel.

Stayed on a Monday night on the 4th floor, garden view room. Clean, quiet, affordable if you make your reservation over the phone. Room with 2 beds is a bit small but to be expected with age and character of building. Great location, we walked to Gastown, to English Bay Beach, and then to dinner on the West End. We didn't bring our dog but did meet some furry guests. Kids loved the ping pong table. Lovely coffee shop adjacent to motel. We'd definitely stay here again. Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Wished we would have made time to ride the free bikes (they have helmets too.) Arrive close to check-in if you have a larger vehicle (minivan) for choice of parking spaces in their garage.

This is a former motel, Spiffed up with hip decor— great photos and paint job and a marvelous interior garden lounging area. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. It is a great location and easy to get to anything you want. There are no amenities (other than a coin operated laundromat). So we thought it was expensive for the overall offering.
