We stayed here in May of 2014 and it was a good place to stay. Its located close to Skytrain and you are right downtown, as well as close to the beach. Some of the rooms are quite dated, but very large. In our particular suite, we had a bit of a kitchenette. We had a nice view of the...

I surprised my wife with a date night downtown on Valentines Day given this was our date night away from our newborn. The hotel availability and room price were very decent, and if you still use your legs as a mode of transportation, you will quickly find getting to food and fun is all within walking distance. When we arrived...

Staff was helpful. Rooms were OK but nothing to write home about. Parking is a steep twentyfive bucks, but it is good till 6 pm of next day. Receptionist didn't push it on me though, and in fact provided some helpful tips on finding street parking. Comox is 1-way in front of hotel making it difficult to get to the...

Reserved a Premium 2 bedroom suite. Checked in late and was nicely greeted with an upgrade without asking. Stayed on the 34th floor(35th floor held meeting rooms) and had wonderful view of West Vancouver and Sunset views. Walking distance from the beach, Stanley Park and west end of Robson St. Suite is very large and very accommodating for our family...

This hotel is in the perfect location if your looking to have quick fun with the local boys. Hotel was clean but cooking smells from other units overwhelmed the common area of the room floors. I will definitely stay here again!

The hotel decor is dated but the hotel is clean. The location was great for getting to the seawall, Stanley park and Granville island. We had a suite with a kitchen which was great for preparing breakfast and lunch for the kids. Also had a super view of the ocean from the 28th floor

I stayed there after a long cruise for 2 nights. The room location was on a lower floor facing the roof. The roof with the ac vents was very dirty with pigeons feces on the floor. on the outside patio it was dirty once again and even the underground pool area was dirty. there was dust everywhere the room was...

This older Hotel is showing a bit of wear and tear but the staff, amenities and food make up for it all. Ridiculously awkward to get into parking if you haven't been before and $25/night. Comox lounge is a great place to hang out with excellent food. Rooms are good value with real wine glasses and Starbucks coffee. Hair dryer...

The people are very accommodating and always willing to help. Breakfast from the Brassiery Rest. is so so - not worth the money and definitely not worth the additional room service fees.. Not as good as home. There are places close by to purchase groceries and the rooms with a kitchenette work out better. Bottled water used to be supplied...

The Coast Plaza is such a great location for downtown Vancouver, and there are lots of off season deals to be had, so after many years away, we decided to stay again. While we had very minor problems booking, the staff member was so helpful on the phone and upgraded our room. Bonus! The decor of the hotel is a...

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
