If was fine and I particularly like that there was a little living room area so visitors could come. I do not see why I have to write a long review. If you want people to fill in this review do not ask them to write a certain amount.

Older hotel but for the price I think it was a good deal. Ask to stay in the higher rooms - not much to see in the levels below twenty. Was super happy to see a kitchenette (and was regularly stocked with fresh you brew Starbucks) as well as a balcony on our room - pleasant surprise. The pool area...

I have to agree with other reviews in that this is simply not a 3.5 star hotel as advertised on travel sites. Maybe it was 3.5 stars ten years ago, but I'd rate the quality more like a 2.5. I am conflicted though because I would give it a higher rating for service and location but it doesn't deserve it...

My fiancé surprised me with a trip to Vancouver, B.C. While it's been a fun trip, upon arrival I noticed immediately walking in from the dingy garage that the dinginess was a common theme throughout. We walked into the lobby and all I could smell was old dirty hotel. The carpet throughout is dirty, smelly, ripped, including in our hotel...

Dear Deanna T: Thank you for your recent review. I was disappointed to read of your experience. I realize how disturbing it must have been to be bothered by the sound of service elevators all night. While I do not believe that there is anything that can be done to change this condition, I have found that some guests have...

This is a suite hotel which is so convenient because you can store snacks and drinks easily in the kitchenette. We found the staff really helpful and obliging. Best of all was the location. We were handy to everything. English Bay and Stanley Park were a short walk away. We were next door to a small mall that had a...

I was also here for a conference last weekend and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's not swank and doesn't pretend to be, but I found it very comfortable and convenient not just for the conference but also for cycling and walking around Vancouver. I booked the least expensive room, which had a fridge and coffee maker but no...

This hotel took us by surprise.... it was very reasonable in cost, yet had every amenity that you could ever need.... I had not done enough research, so I did not realize the room had a kitchen in it... (guess the name of the hotel should have told me that, duh!) But how nice to have access to a fridge,...

The hotel was very clean and enjoyable. The staff was all welcoming and very helpful. This was my first time in Canada and the front desk agent was able to offer us some good ideas. I was very happy with the room. Our rate didn't allow a higher floor to have the best view, but we still had a good...

During a recent conference I though we would try a new a vindication option in Vancouver. This hotel was described as a 4-star property and looked great online..... Not in reality! All 7 of us arrives at 10pm and checked our 7 rooms. They were very old, smelt of smoke and had cigarette burns on the carpets. The hotel is...

Dear TimMiggins: Thank you for your recent review. I was very disappointed to read of your dissatisfaction with our rooms and the restaurant. We are aware of the cosmetic deficiencies of the hotel, but work very hard to compensate with excellent and friendly service, a convenient location with a variety of amenities and clean, comfortable and functional guest rooms. Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.

“My tip: Ask the concierge for porcelain cups, a kettle, spoons (and tea!) for your room. My group noticed that some suites had great kitchens. Yay. I enjoyed that I had a table to do work in my room. Whoops - the internet was weak. But overall, had a fantastic stay.”
