This is an older hotel in need of updating but the location is ideal and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. it is very close to English Bay and the sea walk. There are many interesting ethnic restaurants and also a Safeway and Whole Foods. We had a suite so the kitchen was a real bonus. The continental breakfast...

We stayed a week in a ocean-view king suite on the 31st floor, which had a magnificent view! The hotel needs a remodel but, none-the-less, we loved our stay. The staff is exceptionally attentive and the suite very clean with a comfortable bed. The location in the west-End of Vancouver is steps away from Denman Street, which Is filled with...

I have stayed at numerous coast hotels. This one is very disappointing. Staff are very friend hotel lobby looks great, but the rooms are extremely outdated. My room had a funky odour. When checking the lady tried to make my room sound like an upgrade but when I questioned her on it. She replied it's the only room I have...

I stayed at this property as I was enjoying some wonderful weather. This hotel is a jewel in the west end of Vancouver. The location and surroundings are ideal to perk up your spirit and enjoy life. We stayed in an upper floor with a magnificent view. The room that I am sure has many stories, was clean, well appointed...

I would rate this higher if it was closer to the skytrain or tourist attractions. The junior suite was large and the front desk person was very nice. There is a business center that consists of a computer and printer that you can use for free as long as you get a password from the front desk. The wireless in...

Pleasant hotel. Good location with great view from balcony on high floor. We were traveling with 2 children and the nearby beach and playground were a plus. Also only a 15 min walk from Canada Center and Gastown.

I just stayed for one night with my 4 kids as a quick getaway before school started up again. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with 2 double beds in the bedroom and a pullout couch in the main living area. The room also included a full kitchen. The service at the hotel from check-in to restaurant to check-out...

It's in just the right spot. As a woman travelling alone I am completely comfortable going out onto the street and wandering. There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops and a mall directly underneath on the same elevator system. You can walk to English Bay and Stanley Park.

Another very good stay at a Coast Hotel. The hotel was very nice and in a little different area than the downtown core of Vancouver. We had a great stay! We enjoyed the little restaurants away from the downtown area.

We stayed on the 14th floor for 3 nights in early August. We were most impressed by the outstanding customer service we received, especially that of the concierge staff. Derin was attentive and patient with all our inquiries. The front desk lady and bellman were also very responsive and helpful. All emails before and after our trip were answered promptly...

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
