A great big thank-you to the Westin Bayshore for rescuing us from a terrible situation at another Vancouver hotel. The room is nicely-appointed, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the bed is exceptionally comfortable. The staff is wonderful and could teach a class in first-rate customer service! Thank you for converting what was a terrible first impression of your...

This place is nice, don't get me wrong. But it didn't knock my socks off. It is well-appointed, has gorgeous views. But it doesn't have soul. I was never greeted by staff. Nothing personal at all. Hotels now cannot live by nice rooms only. It is the personal touch. My parents stayed up at the Listel- half the price- nice...

The location of this hotel is good for all that you might want to do in Vancouver. A quick walk to Stanley Park and many other locations. The room was a nice size - not just a bet crammed in there. We were close to the elevator and could hear that very well in our room. My suggestion would be...

We stayed in the Hotel as a Birthday treat for my partner. And what a treat! Views over the marina and Stanley Park absolutely wonderful. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Had a delicious steak dinner. Good that Starbucks were IN the hotel. The gift shop was top notch too. A high class hotel. Treat yourselves, stay here.

We had a room that faced the Canada Place marina up on the 19th floor. The views were amazing day and night. Typical luxury Business hotel with good restaurants nearby. Free wifi in lobby but not in rooms. Free Starbucks coffee pods in room, and Starbucks coffee shop in lobby Bathrobe provided in my room (upgraded) Breakfast had a good...

It's located right next to Stanley Park which is a must see. The hotel is a little old but very well kept up. All of the staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. We stayed in a room that overlooked the bay and saw the rowing team practice every day.

Hello D W, Thank you for your recent stay with us and your comments on our great location. We had a rejuvenating rooms renovation not too long ago, and we are constantly refreshing our public areas, so please try us again soon. I am sure the rowers will be right outside your window again. I have stayed here multiple times for conferences. The conference facilities are good and the rooms are fine. The hotel restaurant seems small for the size of the hotel; food was very good but it took quite a while for our lunch order to come even though the restaurant wasn't crowded when we arrived. The location is definitely the top...

Hello SF-JOG, Thank you for your recent stay, and for your return stays. We were very happy to hear that your water views were stunning and that you felt connected to Stanley Park - just a stones throw from our location on the seawall. Our restaurant does have another section that enhances the overall size, and we do have another...

This is a great hotel location even if It is not centrally located in the city. It is a short walk to Stanley Park with very nice views of the bay area. The exterior is well maintained as well as the interior. This was a memorable first stay. Complementary bottle of Champagne and a suite upgrade for our anniversary vacation...

Hello TravelPort101, Thank you for your recent stay, we were happy to hear that you enjoyed our location and were able to unwind while with us. A very grand venue for large conferences and beautifully situated by the waterfront. But the large empty spaces and the well hidden and spread out restaurants, bars and cafés in the hotel makes it quite boring. For such a big hotel the breakfast restaurant is quite small and looks like it almost is only an interim arrangement in the middle...

Hello Bertell, Thank you for your recent stay with us, and for your feedback. Our footprint is quite large for a downtown hotel, and we have many nooks with comfortable seating to make our large space feel more personal. I stayed at this hotel because I had a conference to attend. I would have preferred to stay at a hotel with newer, modern furniture and design. The interior of the hotel needs a face-lift. Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
