My wife and I stayed at the Bayshore for four nights. The hotel was the location of my conference, and we were signed up for a separate event at the Convention Centre. The hotel's common areas are clean and updated. Our room was very reasonably priced thanks to the conference rate, but was a bit worn and could use some updating - the countertops were worn, the rain shower head a bit anemic, and very slow to get hot water out of the shower. The conference facilities were excellent, and the meals provided quite good. The conference center was an easy ten minute walk along the waterfront.
We stayed at the Bayshore since the days of Trader Vic's. It is a Vancouver landmark and a majestic property on the shores of the Harbour and a breathtaking view of the mountains and ocean. It is a little out of the way of downtown Vancouver and a walk to go anywhere, so when the construction and renovations took over we chose other hotels. It is now completed and our first trip back was amazing and busy. The hotel now has a buzz as the place to be and the empty cavernous areas are filled with bars and restaurants. It has changed the atmosphere and made any change of ven
I stayed here for a work conference for 3 nights and found a mixed experience, though generally positive. My room had stunning views which was lovely, and forgave that the tower was rather outdated. Things like the elevators to our tower could use some modernizing, the washroom (only a rain shower head). I stayed on the 9th floor in the old tower away from the elevator so it was generally quite quiet. Other pluses was that the service was very good and I appreciated the location and fitness options provided. It was a quick walk to Stanley Park and the hotel has bikes you can borrow which is a lovely addition too!
This hotel exceeded my expectations thoroughly. From the front desk to the valet personnel, everyone was a complete pleasure and happy to assist. The grounds were very well kept and our room was clean and cool. We had a great time at this hotel, plenty of places to walk to, and overall a great experience. Would definitely like to come back here some day!
What a beautiful hotel in a wonderful Bay area of Vancouver. This hotel is situated right next to the scenic Stanley Park. It was so nice to be able to get up in the morning and walk to the park for some fresh air and exercise. There were a lot of bikers in the park as well, but they have their own lanes. Check in was easy and the front desk staff were welcoming and so nice! We ate breakfast every morning in the hotel restaurant. They have a delicious buffet, or you can order off of the menu. The staff at this restaurant are the best. They remembered us each morning and were always full of smiles and suggestions for our time there. They have a spa in the hotel, but sadly I did not get a chance to book a treatment there. It looked lovely, though. The outside pool area is beautiful and so relaxing! You forget you are in a large city. We loved our stay here!…
This hotel was in a perfect location. It was clean and a beautiful property. The room was big and had a wonderful view of the marina. BUT the birds on the tenth floor of the "tower" kept us up all night. They were squawking and making so much noise, we keep being woken up be them. SO annoying! We only stayed one night or I would have insisted we be moved. I complained and was told that they didn't know the birds were bad there TOO. She would tell a manager. No discount or compensation was made.
The location of the hotel is excellent but our suite (premier suite) was old, dirty and in need of reno. The pull out sofa was covered in stains and had hair all over it, the cot looked like someone died on it and the dining chairs were so stained and filthy that we never sat on them. The air conditioning vent rattled so loudly that we folded up a piece of paper and stuffed it between the wall and the vent to try to minimize the rattling. Luckily, the bathrooms had been redone but one of the bathroom doors was broken and made a screeching banging sound if you tried to open or close it. Overall, very disappointed in the room - especially for the price.
Excellent and kind services by staff. Front desk staffs, Manager Rohit and restaurant Manager Danny were very professional. These people never made me felt like I was away from home during my stay. Will come back sure for my next trip.
This is good hotel in a good location near to Stanley Park albeit a taxi ride from downtown. We arrived early morning and was pleased that our room was available. Room was comfortable but not spectacular. Staff were overall helpful although strangely the Concierge function is only available for limited hours. Whilst we didn’t use the pool area it looked good but very busy. There are a couple of restaurants which are decent (reviewed separately) but not cheap. WiFi was quite good and is free. Overall whilst not in Downtown we enjoyed are stay for 4 nights and would recommend as near Stanley Park and the Aquarium and am ideal place if you are looking to use the pro for what is has to offer. Free 2 hour bike hire is available.
We are staying for 2 nights for our wedding. The view is beautiful, the food is good, the pool area is great and the staff are very friendly. The only big downside is the loud and constant music playing from the restaurant below us which is making it impossible to relax. We can’t even watch a movie because we can hear every lyric even with the doors closed. We called to ask when it would stop and were told 10 or 11pm with no resolution.
