My wife stayed here for a week with myself and the kids joining her at the end. The room was modern with about the most comfortable bed and bed linen that we have experienced in a hotel. The hotel was quiet other than the air conditioning. It had free wi fi that worked well. Breakfast was easy from Urban Fare... More

Request a corner room on a high floor. I was happy and pleasantly surprised with my corner room which allowed for a lot of natural light. The staff was friendly. I was disappointed on no breakfast but at least internet was included. The location was great but be prepared to wait on the elevators. Walking distance to many many great... More

Excellent hotel; spotless, exceptional service, fantastic location, excellent restaurant, clean, etc, etc, etc. As a former hotelier, I know a thing or two about hotels, and that's all I need to say here: great property and great value; this is my go-to in Vancouver.

I recently visited the hotel on a business trip during a period were it was difficult to get a room due to the Women Soccer World Cup. Luckily I touched down at the Hotel on short notice, without a reservation were I was greeted at the reception by Heather and Gustavo, which not just found me a room but also... More

We flew into Vancouver last week from Heathrow feeling rather tired to be met by a very cheerful concierge and a very efficient receptionist, Luiz. He gave a great first impression and booked us into a great room 1516 with super views over the harbour and Grouse mountain beyond. Tip if possible get rooms 1514, 1515 or 1516 or the... More

We stayed at the Coast Coal Harbor for three nights. The hotel is very clean and the stall is friendly, professional and very helpful. The hotel is located on the Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley line (Trolley stops across the street). It is a five minute walk to the Waterfront and about 10 minutes to the Cruise Ship Terminal. There are many... More

Modern hotel with minimalist decor centrally located in downtown Vancouver. Attractive lobby with friendly staff. We requested a refrigerator when we made the reservation but there was none in the room. We made a second request with no results, then a third, at which time they claimed to have sent up a refrigerator, but to the wrong floor, and finally... More

Great location, good place for a conference, and real nice property. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The walk across the street to the water was really nice and a great place to go for a decent walk.

Booked for by Canadian Affair the hotel is very well placed if you are joining a cruise. We received a pleasant greeting from Reception always very helpful. Room was large and comfortable good quality bathroom. Quiet location we were in room 605. Prestons Restaurant offered a wide range of breakfast options. I was amased no marmalade was available. Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
