I went there Sept. 21 - 25 2016. My room was clean, the bed comfortable the staff where very friendle. The location of this hotel is great one block to the harbour where every morning I went for a walk to look at the boats and float planes. Would definately go back

This hotel has a good location and in my opinion the best of this property is the Staff very friendly and attentive. Rooms are very spacious, bathrooms are very accommodating. Food at the restaurant is very good and service is excellent

I stayed in a large room. The hallway was pretty big and so was the bathroom. The toilet could've been shifted a bit and not so close to the corner. Shower design was strange with small, plastic, white shower head. The base of the shower room itself was unusual as well, as if people can roll on it (see the... More

Great location. Hotel is close to Stanley Park and Vancouver Convention Centre. There are a number of shops and restaurants within a five minute walk of the hotel. Hop On Hop Off buses are also fairly close by with a reasonable charge. $45.00 for a full day.

It's an okay hotel. I think my perception is colored by the fact that I paid $390 USD (including tax and parking) for one night. That is grossly overpriced. In my opinion, this hotel is worth no more $200/night. I've stayed at gorgeous hotels in NYC for way less. If you can get a good rate, I have no complaints.... More

This was our first stay at the Coast Coal Harbour but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff went above and beyond in all aspects. They were very friendly and helpful in all regards. It is a block from the waterfront so you don't get a harbour view, but the staff definitely made up for it in their desire to please.... More

Lovely clean quite hotel with helpful staff. It is a short walk to the Harbour, restaurants and Canada Place (where we collected our hire car). It has been mentioned in other reviews how nice it was to have full size toiletries, which were very pleasant to use. We had a corner room which was large with a very comfortable bed,... More

Great location between Gastown and Stanley Park. Easy walk from the Canada Line's Waterfront station if you're coming in from the airport. Comfy beds and full-size amenities, which is a lovely switch from teeny tiny and oft wasted mini-sized toiletries. The addition of a bar fridge is most welcome as I travel from the east and am frequently up at... More

Wonderful stay in Vancouver. Coast Coal Harbour is a quiet hotel, well run with helpful staff, a good restaurant and very close to the Harbour for boat trips or the sea plane to Vancouver Island. The hotel is also only a few blocks from downtown Vancouver for good restaurants like Joe Fortes and shops.

We checked in at about 11 pm on 9/19/2016 and the reception staff was efficient and friendly. They also provided a very good recommendation for a close by restaurant that would still be opened (see separate review for Cactus Club Cafe). Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The toiletries were full size instead of the small bottles that can... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
