A perfect stay in the buzz of Vancouver!
We had a 2 night stay booked at the end of a 3 week road trip and from the minute we checked in at reception, we had first class treatment right through our stay. We were even reminded that we stayed at the hotel exactly 7 years ago the exact same time! We had 2 breakfasts booked and 1 night dinner reservation for the last night of our stay and the food and service was outstanding. We had a lovely room at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road but with such comfortable beds, we had the best 2 nights sleep! We were so happy to come back and stay at this lovely hotel and would always recommend to anybody wanting a stay in Vancouver.

    Outstanding stay and service!
First ever stay at this property. Arrived around 8 PM and was conveniently a very short walk (~ 5 minutes) from the Vancouver City Centre Canada Line station. Sylvain was incredibly gracious / courteous in welcoming us and checking us in quickly and efficiently. We also received a complimentary room upgrade as well as 2x complimentary vouchers for the buffet breakfast valued @ $23 each - a pleasant surprise! The room itself was immaculate and comfortable with a tremendously comfortable bed, good quality TV, large bathroom, and other nice touches like a Nespresso machine. Throughout our stay all staff members were very friendly and accommodating. One came around in the evening to provide additional bottles of water, ice, and even some Lindt chocolates. The pool and hot tub were refreshing and quite good.

Upscale and on point for Covid
We have always done weekend getaways to Vancouver (we live in white rock on the beach so sometimes need our fix of city). Sometimes we have our son and sometimes just the two of us. We have always stayed at the Four Seasons but it is now closed. We have been searching for a replacement and LHermitage is for sure it. They have a year round heated outdoor pool which is brilliant for kids. You can get a room with a kitchenette. Some rooms have patios. The service is impeccable. I highly recommend taking breakfast next door at Cafe Medina (a Vancouver breakfast mecca for locals). They are totally on point with Covid. Presenting us with a PPE package, and the hair dryer and face clothes and robes were all in sanitized packages. They eliminated reusable cups/mugs in favour of sanitized and plastic wrapped one time use cups. Toiletries were in a one use sanitized bag. And to reduce people in the lounge for breakfast they offer complimentary breakfast in your room. The service staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The location is 5 mins walk to gastown and yaletown. And 15 min walk to science centre/false reek and 10 min walk to the sails and along to coal harbour. And set right next to shopping district along Robson.

Cannot fault this hotel - it was wonderful. We stayed here for 2 nights post cruise and were treated like royalty. From the moment we stepped in to the foyer to the moment we stepped out to go to the airport. The staff go out of their way to ensure you are happy. 5 mins after checking in to our room we received a phone call from reception to ask if everything was to our satisfaction. And yes it certainly was. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds - all spotless. We ate twice in the hotel - breakfast and evening meal. Both were tasty and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Good location - everything you need is nearby. A special thank you to Mary Ann who was so helpful on our last day and ensuring we had a taxi booked to the airport and we were comfortable waiting for the taxi in the lounge after checking out. You certainly experience comfort and luxury - we would love to return.

We were very excited to stay at L’Hermitage as it does have positive reviews. Marketing of the hotel was very impressive. Our check in was flawless and we were off to great start. Parking was easy to find and $25 per night is acceptable for a downtown Boutique hotel. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel room. The bathroom was lovely with the separate water closet, bath and shower. The soft seating in the room was clean and not stained like I’ve seen at other hotels. The only downfall I would say was our dining experiences, both at the restaurant and in-room dining. We had breakfast in the restaurant on our first morning. The breakfast service started off well but slowly declined by the end. Our next experience was an early evening cocktail. The service was extremely slow. We waited more than half hour for one cocktail. When we asked for our bill, twice, both times we waited minimum 15-20 minutes. There was also another party adjacent to us who were waiting a long time for service. With having three tables only seated, not sure why the service was incredibly slow. Our last experience was our breakfast in room dining. We ordered two breakfasts, pot of coffee and orange juice. Our meals arrived about 30 minutes later. No coffee arrived. Then our coffee arrived with one cup, not two cups and no cream or sugar although I requested this twice. Once we finished our breakfast, the second cup arrived with the cream and sugar. When you’re paying $60 for two breakfasts at a four star hotel, I expected much better service. Cleaning of our room was very well done. The ambiance of the hotel is nice.

L’Hermitage Hotel was the perfect place to stay. The location was excellent. It was walking distance to Gastown, Yaletown, downtown, and Canada Place. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms were very large. The bathrooms were gorgeous. The toilet room was separate from the shower and bath tub. The rooms were decorated very well. The service was exceptional. As we were arrived the front desk staff were so welcoming and polite. Maryann the manager was so cheerful and friendly. She was so helpful with decorations and restaurant choices. The restaurant was lovely. Very reasonable with great choices for all three meals. The servers in the restaurant were so nice.

We arrived with another couple for a two night stay before boarding an Alaska Cruise. We are delighted we chose to stay at L’Hermitage in Vancouver. The room, food, and service were all absolutely amazing! If we ever return to Vancouver again, L’Hermitage will be where we stay. Thank you for an incredible experience!
