I just spent the weekend at this special property and I cannot say enough about the service and the attention to detail. I am a regular business traveler who typically stays at hotels in the $200 price point, in this case I had to attend an event over the weekend that was being held at the property. From the moment... I have stayed at the Hotel Georgia many times, and the ambiance and service is excellent. This used to be my favorite hotel in Vancouver. Unfortunately, the hotel is associated with Rosewood, and the booking process is horrible. Even if you call the hotel directly you are redirected to the Rosewood central booking line, where you languish on hold for... More

Please accept my sincere apologies for this very unfortunate experience. I can assure you that this is not characteristic of our hotel or brand and I can certainly understand how frustrating it must have been. Kindly provide us with your contact information by sending an email to hotelgeorgia@rosewoodhotels.com and I would be more than happy to assist you with your... More

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is very courteous & professional. Room was spacious & well maintained. In room dining was exceptional and memorable. The location in in heart of downtown with skytrain station just steps away.

We stayed a total of 6 nights in this hotel before and after Christmas in Whistler with our family of 4, including children aged 4 and 7. Even before our stay, the service was memorable. The hotel sent through an email asking us to fill out our preferences for the stay, and specific questions e.g. was there anything that they... More

I am in love with this hotel!! We arrived on Christmas Eve 2014 (my first Christmas away from home) and were greeted by our bellman, Gabriel, (couldn't believe his name on Christmas Eve--the angel Gabriel??). The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas so there was no feeling of missing the holiday. The front desk staff quickly had us in our... More

we spent 5 days over Christmas 2014 here , we choose to stay at this hotel after dining there a few years ago while staying at the four season opposite, and are we glad we did, there nothing wrong with the four seasons, but this place was just a step up, our room was on the 6 floor at the... More

I stayed there for business in October. Only rooms available were wheelchair accessible rooms. This means that there is no tub and the shower is not enclosed. Makes for a wet bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping staff were great. I was also a bit disappointed in the bar -- I asked for a warmed brandy but... More

We stayed at this boutique hotel for 3 nights just before Christmas. It is centrally located, and immediately adjacent to the underground and a short drive from Robson Square (outdoor skating ring) and Stanley Park. There are plenty of public parking lots nearby and we moved our rental car after one night as the on-site valet costed $44. The hotel... More

We had adjoining suites with our kids. The rooms were beautiful. Clean classic lines. Soothing colour scheme. Great view over art gallery. Filled with light and plenty of space with comfortable furniture, well designed robes. We enjoyed the beautiful soft pillows and duvets and the butter soft sheets. However the mattress was a bit too soft for my bad back.... More

We just spent 2 nights here with my husband and son. Beautiful hotel, great location with excellent facilities. Nice touches with home made shortbread cookies delivered to our room in the evening, Extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to help us.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
