We had 3 nights at the inn in August 2016. The room was lovely and comfortable with a fantastic view. We also had some great sushi at the restaurant upstairs! There was a tiny bit of noise in the room from the restaurant (chairs scraping, etc.), but not too bad and the restaurant closed by the time we were in... More

We planned a two night stop over in Tofino and got the Inn at Tough City through Booking.com. Not especially cheap but nowhere is in central Tofino and this allowed us to dump our car by the hotel and walk everywhere. Architecture in Tofino is pretty eclectic and this pace fits in with that. It is above a sushi bar... More

The hubby and I really loved this cool laid back hotel/restaurant. The sushi was fresh and delicious and the staff was warm and friendly. Cannot wait to go back at the end of July for some more frolicking and debauchery.

Tofino is a small town that relies on tourists for it's income. There are numerous accommodation establishments, restaurants, tourist shops, a large co-op and retail shops all focused on satisfying the needs of tourists. We chose to spend a nght at the Inn at Tough City because of its location - right on the waterfront. The brick building has a... More

Loved this cute place with lots of character. The room was fresh and bright and huge bathroom. Would definitely stay there again. The sushi restaurant was very good. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The deck on the water was a a great place to sit and enjoy at the end of the day.

An inn with a deck overlooking the waterfront and a short walk to the rest of the town. The public spaces are decorated with collections of memorabalia (my guess 1930s-1950s) and a clear stattement on room decor. My room (8) was spacuious and colourfu and had a small balcony on the village side. Downsides..no breakfast and only sushi on the... More

Booked this on a whim to extend our trip to Tofino. We took a top floor room with ocean view. Perfect home base for a day and night walking around town. Balcony was small, but still nice for two people to sit and enjoy a beer while watching boats and planes putter around the harbour. Great sushi restaurant on the... More

My husband and I recently stayed here for 2 nights. The inn is an old building that is decorated around the owner's whimsical tastes. In the lobby and restaurant there are comic books on the ceiling, old signs lined up around the rooms and a hodgepodge of tin cars and toys hanging everywhere. The room was small but clean, decorated... More

I loved this hotel from the relaxed check in to the extraordinary view from our private balcony. It was very clean quite roomy. The bathroom was as large as any major hotel I've stayed in. I have read some negative reviews about this place so I recommend that you read what it is not. It is not the Sheraton or... More

The views are amazing, the sushi restaurant is delicious and the rooms are quaint, cute and comfortable. My aunt and I really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect for sitting on the balcony and watching the float planes and boats putter around the hat or whilst drinking a glass of wine or beer. Beautiful!
