While the Great Room offers stunning views of the waves, beach and sunset, the real draw is chef Shaun Snellings' excellent menu. Featuring local ingredients, there is a welcome mix of rich and refreshing dishes, sure to satisfy those who have come to experience Tofino's growing restaurant scene. Standouts include the bison carpaccio (a must try) the tuna tataki, halibut, and crab platter. The yakisoba accompanying the halibut is superb, as is the risotto served with the crab.

Just back from staying 6 days in a cabin at the resort - completely relaxing. Half of the family surfed and the other half rode bikes on the beach. There is something for everyone even if you want to do nothing but watch the action with a glass of wine - its all there. The restaurant is also excellent - there is no need to leave.

This restaurant has a spectacular view of the beach at Tofino, just driving threw the grounds of this resort to get to the restaurant is a treat. My visit, with my friend was a bus tour so parking wasn't an issue since we were expected and had a reservation. The restaurant is pretty huge but I'm sure reservations should be considered. I had the Lodge Burger ($18:00) which was very good available with soup, salad or fries. I choose the Fries, also good. A tad nerve wracking to pay $10:00 for a five ounce glass of wine (SG Vivacious) but so worth it given the surroundings. My friend had one piece of fish (and chips) which was more than enough, another lady at our table had the two pieces of fish and stated it was too much, fresh seafood is the order of the day here really. Nothing to disappoint at this location, a bus tour doesn't give you enough time to explore the area but it sure was a delightful setting for our lunch stop. Stairs to the restaurant could be a problem for some people but unfortunately I'd didn't stop to inquire about an elevator, which might or might not access the restaurant.

Thank you, I am really pleased that you enjoyed your visit to the lodge and your lunch. There is an elevator from the ground floor entrance to the other floors, which allows guests to avoid the stairs. Best wishes, Tim Hackett

Cannot say enough about how beautiful this place was and we only wish we could have stayed longer. The room was majestic (Hint ask for beach facing)…we were on ground floor so had a patio window straight on to the beach. The bar and restaurant are of the highest quality but with sensible prices. Every member of the staff in the restaurant and on the front desk must be very carefully selected as the service we had from everyone was just impeccable. The food we had was also of the highest quality. There is so much to do in Tofino and it is a great choice of place to stay…but do not do what we did and book just two nights..stay as long as you can. Also… note: it is a minimum 3 hour drive from the Vancouver Ferry…and that ferry takes 2 hours. Ensure you are booked on the ferry otherwise you could be waiting additional hours. Longbeach Lodge was without doubt the best place we stayed in our month away. Thanks to all

The Long Beach Lodge Resort is located about 8 kilometres from Tofino on a glorious stretch of beach. The accommodation is excellent and the various dining options well worth a visit. We particularly liked the open dining on the beach. A regular shuttle bus runs into Tofino making the trip there easy.
