We highly recommend this clean and romantic B & B. The owner respected our privacy by greeting us at arrival and checkout. The cottage was stocked with milk, eggs, juice and a variety of breads and jam in the refrigerator. A barbeque in the private garden is handy if you want to cook fresh fish from the market in Ganges....

My wife and I stayed at the Blue Heron B&B in June of 2008 to do some kayaking. It was wonderful we had the Galiano suite and it was everything we expected and more. You couldn't find a nicer hostess than Elizabeth, very friendly and most helpful. We looked forward to her baked goodies in the morning, a perfect start...

I've been a visitor to the Blue Heron several times and have become a friend of the owner. The rooms are beautifully decorated, bright and very clean. The cottage is private, quiet and the decor is lovely. Guests get a generous breakfast basket. The owner is very good at managing making guests feel welcome and giving them their privacy at...

My husband & I stayed in the newly refurbished boathouse which we found to be completely private with it's own little courtyard. The delightful freshly baked breakfasts delivered to your door each morning were greatly anticipated and absolutely delicious! The fridge also came equipped with eggs, juice, coffee cream etc. Right across the street from the ocean and a short...

This was our third trip to Salt Spring Island in the past six years, and our third stay at The Blue Heron. We found The Blue Heron through an on-line search our first year. The web-site was easy to navigate, had great pictures, and was most easy to book on-line. Liz Turner is an amazing Bed and Breakfast host. What...

Just checked in for the easter weekend and we are thrilled. My wife and I don't necessarily care for the 'traditional' B&B experience (if I wanted to eat breakfast with strangers, I'd go to Denny's in my pajamas) so the set up at Blue Heron is perfect for us with breakfast in our room, at our leisure. Location is great,...

new venture for the owner in its scond year of operation.beautiful location. the boat house was new and had just been opened,.and had a few teething problems especially with the shower. other than that the accomodation and the setting were up to the mark. a few essential items of food were provided as was delicious home baking. this suited us...

We were really disappointed by the Blue Heron B&B, having paid over $200 per night. The cottage was very small, with very little privacy. The cottage was supposed to be brand new, but had very poor fit and finish. The shower leaked producing a large lake on the bathroom floor each time. We kept blotting it with our towels. The...

As owner of the Blue Heron it is important to comment on several false statements made by this young man. They arrived at 10.30pm a day early. They joined us for dessert and wine while a staff member turned on lights and prepared the suite. The girlfriend expressed appreciation as they would have to sleep in their truck if we did not have...

When you visit Vancover if you want to have some extra adventure on your trip take the ferry to Salt Spring Island. We stayed at a very special B & B called Blue Heron. Our host Liz cooked us some of the most splendid breakfasts and her hospitality was most generous. Our room was small, but specially furnished and the...
