Beautiful location with views across the water with sunrises to savour. Within a mile you can access the beach, walk on the pier and visit Fernwood Cafe. Quiet and relaxing but only 10 minutes to Ganges. Very helpful staff. Would stay here again.
My husband and I looked into a bunch of different b&b's on Salt spring for our anniversary and ultimately decided to go with Mineral Springs, even though we read mixed reviews. I'm SO glad we went anyways!! I chatted back and forth with the manager Woody before booking, and he answered every question I had as well as promptly taking and sending over photos of a chalet I had inquired about! He was super helpful the whole time. We arrived to a very clean cottage with a full box of amazing smelling firewood, which burns slowly and makes the entire place super warm and cozy! The kitchen was perfectly fine for us, little fridge, stove and toaster, all the cups, plates pots pans and cutlery we needed. I don't go to places like this expecting a cleaner to come in because I don't mind making my bed and doing my dishes etc. So if you want all those bells and whistles, go stay at a Hotel. (P.S- I'm sure if you were there more than a few nights, laundry could be arranged!) The view from the chalet was unbeatable. You can see the ocean from the bed!! Bring binoculars! There was a dock just down the road and you can use bikes that are provided to get there. We also drove a few minutes to a cute farm where we bought all our fresh food for our stay! (Homemade bread, veggies etc) All in all, no complaints from us!! I can't wait to go back!…
We have a family of 5 and stayed in their largest unit. There were enough spaces to sleep and move around, but the lodgings were not quite what they advertised. The kitchen is sad, no oven and dirty BBQ’s. There is no housekeeping, so you’re doing all the work. There are no mineral spring pools, essentially it’s a bubble bath in a love tub. There is no access to the ocean. It’s quite run down and needs about a million investment to update. It could be spectacular because of the view, but falls massively short. What they are charging for what you get is astronomical. I would never recommend or stay here again.
We stayed in cabin number 10 and it was perfect for us. Grandparents, parents and a two year old. The area is so beautiful and quiet that it never mattered if it took too long to get ready or little one needed a nap, we were happy just sitting in the garden looking at the beauty around us. The little house had two nice bedrooms, front one looking over the sea and the other had three beds, perfect for the little one and parents. There is a restaurant and cafe within walking distance and the main town is a short drive and two great supermarkets are in the town where you can buy just about everything. The island is beautiful with lots to do and see and so peaceful. Plenty of good restaurants in town. A bit far from Ireland but I would certainly hope to get back
Quiet location, with beautiful views of the ocean. Cute rustic cabins, the furnishings and finishes are very simple and not luxurious but the cabins are a beautiful west coast design with lots of windows, a beautiful view of the ocean, a fireplace and large rustic spa bathtub with mineral spring water pumped in. Our cabin was quite warm and there were quite a few wasps inside but There is no pool, spa or mineral spring relaxation area on site which would elevate this property to the next level and make it a true destination. Updating the front desk area and grounds would also improve the experience, but the location, views and cabins are lovely. The front desk staff went above and beyond for us during our stay, thank you for having us, we will refer our friends and family!
