The Empire motel is a quaint boutique motel with an excellent location near Skaha park. It is less than a 10 minute to this beautiful beach. They have beach wagons available to take your stuff to the lake. Not sure if there is a charge for using the wagons. Try to get a room on the pool courtyard as there is a bit of street noise untill 10ish. The rooms are clean/neat and the needs are comfortable. They are very organized at check-in. This is just a great place to stay.

Late evening stop due to long day, and once again found that this motel, even though it is a little older was spotlessly clean, all amenities provided, close to all be needed for meals and necessities. And an excellent price.

This place was awesome! It felt like we were transported back into the 1950's. It's a quaint family run place. The best part of all was the two Polish sisters that clean the place. Our room was spotless. When I went to congratulate them on a job well done I witnessed them cleaning another room. One of the sisters had actually moved the refrigerator out so she could clean behind it! WOW! That just shows you their dedication to cleanliness. The toilet seat actually had a little piece of paper wrapped around it to let us know it had been sanitized. Very impressive! I hope we get the chance to stay here again.

My wife, our 2 young daughters, and I stayed for a week after Peach Fest in a room facing Skaha Lake road. The room was a queen with 2 twins and was very comfortable and had most of the stuff we needed. It would have been nice to have a kitchen, but those were all taken. The beds were nice and we had no issues with anything in the rooms. The shower needed a new head, but I did mention that to someone that worked there so I assume it’ll get sorted. The walls were thick so we couldn’t hear the neighbours and the people above were also fairly quiet. Being on the main road was louder only due to the fact that a lot of loud vehicles are in the area. It would have been nice to be in the back and then there would have been the safety from the street for my kids. The pool was cold! But it was nice to take a dip in and the kids liked it. There are BBQs to use for guests and a play area that could use some TLC but the kids again, didn’t care about the state of some of the stuff. Being close to the beach is the best part. The hotel is far from downtown and the best restaurants but the beach makes up for it. Having the ability to borrow wagons and walk down there is great too. Overall it was a great stay and we will for sure return. I would recommend it for anyone who wanted to be close to the beach and stay near lots of other families.

We recently spent 5 nights at the Empire Motel along with many groups of relatives. The rooms (suites) are very spacious and very clean! Air conditioning worked beautifully and thank goodness as it was hot during our stay. The staff were very accommodating and so friendly and helpful! We spent a great deal of time in the back grassy area either relaxing in the sun on a lounge chair, swimming or enjoying a barbecued meal in the shaded gazebos! This motel managed to exceed the needs of everyone we travelled with and their rates are exceptionally good! My husband and I have travelled a great deal and this little motel is definitely my favourite so far! A big thanks to all the staff at the Empire Motel! We will be back!
