Dear Guest Thanks for taking the time to review the Met Hotel. We do cater to the person who does not want to spend the big $$ on the Vancouver hotels and because the Skytrain is right beside us we are very convenient for getting around the lower mainland. If you are a light sleeper we do have our front facing rooms for about $10 more per night. I do apologize if you were waiting at reception for a check in, this is something we are conscious of and we do are best to not be away from the front for to long. We do have HD channels available but I think we should advertise this somehow, thanks for the heads up, I will look into this. The keys are a nice feature that guests seem to like, we find them better then the key cards but you are correct, please do not lose them. I will pass on your comments around the bar and grill but I am happy the service was good. I am happy to hear that the room was clean and you received satisfactory service as this is very important for our guests. Thank you once again for your review. We appreciate your time and you staying with us. Please come and stay with us again. Regards, The Met Hotel.

Stayed for four nights with family. Was pleasantly surprised by the aesthetics of the room lobby and the room itself. Spacious, clean, bright and well appointed room. Sky train next door is not that big of a nuisance. It didn’t trouble us. But if you’re traveling with young kids,

Dear Guest We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Clean and comfy is our goal and it looks like we succeeded with your stay. Parking is located across the street about 1 minute away so its not that far but you are correct it is not right on our property. We offer a better rate then they do directly at the lot itself. The area is really a great place. I do not know if you had a chance to check out Pier Park across the street but it really is the jewel of New Westminster for family's and children. we do have a common microwave on the 2nd floor and all front facing rooms have one also. I believe we are going to get them into all the rooms eventually. As for the homelessness, being located in a large city has its downside and Vancouver does have a homeless problem due to out temperate climate. We are no different then any other hotel in the lower mainland in having to deal with this problem That being said and done it really is not that bad but it is not very nice to look at. I do apologize if this took away from your experience. Thank you and regards,

The hotel had a quaint appearance from the outside in a unique city block. The lobby was dark, small and uninviting. I've stayed and worked in a lot of hotels but have never seen one that didn't have some type of parking provision. I don't think there was even a loading zone i

Dear guest First thank you for staying with us and thank you for taking the time to review the Met Hotel, we do appreciate all the feedback we receive. Unfortunately the front of the hotel is a bus zone. I am sorry to say we have no control over this whatsoever. The city and Translink have jurisdiction over this space and we have not been able to change their minds. Ahead of this about 10 meters away is a loading zone that can be used to unload, but I agree its not convenient. As for parking itself, it is located about 1 minute away directly across the street, the cost is quite reasonable at $13.98 per night or there is a free option after 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. I am sorry that you feel that the hotel didn't match the standards online but these are reviews that are left by our guest's and I guess their opinion is different from yours, but not any more or less correct, we value all opinions. I am glad that you found the rooms clean and comfortable, this is very important for our guest. The Skytrain and price are the major draws to the hotel, most people find these 2 things to be important. If the noise from the Skytrain bothers you we have front facing rooms available that are away from the train.and will be less noisy. Over all it was a mixed bag for your stay and I think we could do better. We would love a chance to host you again. Please contact the Met Hotel if you decide to come back and give us another try. Thank you once again.

We booked through Hotwire when we had a Dr's appointment for our baby. The hospital changed our appointment date after booking and we thought we'd lost our money through Hotwire but the Met got us the same type of room at the same rate for our new date! We are incredibly grateful

Spent one night here and it has what you need. It is not luxurious by any means but for the 119.00 we paid it was alright. It's an older building but everything works. Our bed was comfy and not much noise from outside. It was clean although I had some water from the shower go beh

Is there parking at the hotel?
Hi there, do you have parking at the hotel, if so is there a cost?
The best what you can do.. Check in and ask te staff for a parking ticket. ($11 for 24 hours) The entry for the parkinglot is across the street. Strait on the entry of the hotel. Don’t forget to to this. Because you get a ticket. They are very strict. Have a nice trip !!
