Was a lovely hotel and quiet. Quite central. Breakfast was awesome. Only thing I would recommend would be the level of customer service be increased. Server in kitchen and receptionist need to be a little more pleasant. It goes a long way!

Thank you Oohlala Toronto. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our lakeside hotel. I do apologize about the lack of smiles. While everyone can have an off day, we are generally a pretty cheery crew, but it sounds like we need to do better. We have had some challenges, and made some changes in our...

Nice view of Long lake. Old fashioned feel - almost resort or lodge like. They were mowing the grass upon our arrival. We sat on our balcony looking at the lake and the taking in the great weather and pleasant odor of the freshly cut grass. Excellent staff - friendly and helpful!

Thank you t-shack for staying with us, and sharing your review. I like that you felt we have a lodge or resort type of feel-we like that. We strive for "old fashioned" comfort and service, with all the modern features and amenities travellers require such as high quality free Wi-Fi, 42" flatscreen TV's, and our Continental breakfast to start your...

While billed as an Inn, this is really an upgraded motel located just off the Island Highway but its in an absolutely lovely spot on the shore of Long Lake. The rooms are quiet, clean, nicely upgraded (in the last 5 years I'd guess); the wifi is reliable; the breakfasts are pretty standard fare but there's plenty to choose from;...

Thank you coloradogal1235. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel. We did indeed do renovations to our guest rooms in the last year. I am glad we were able to help out, and to answer all your questions. We enjoy helping our guests with information on our beautiful City, and all that it has to offer....

After working a 15 hour day, I was so ready to hit the sheets after my 10:00 check in. I was surprised the room wasn't quite as modern as I was expecting and pulled back the blankets for the usual sheet inspection. One bed #1 I noticed immediately that there was grass on the sheets, and as I peeled the...

I am so sorry that we disappointed you Erica48884. You certainly have a right to be upset. Upon hearing of the incident, I grabbed the Housekeeping Manager to inspect the room and the beds with me. There certainly was an unpleasant mark of some kind on the bottom sheet of one bed. While the bed had obviously not been slept...

On our arrival reception was happy to give us a key to check out the room because I was a bit worried about the noise of the highway behind us. Our room was on the 3rd floor right on the end closest to the road. We decided to stay as the noise was quite muffled once the door was closed....

Thank you for your review, Patricia H. We are indeed near the highway, but once you enter your room, and on your lakefront balcony, it is really a non issue due to the unusual layout of our building. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. It was a lot of work to arrange that awesome storm, but I am...

The inn was clean and pleasant, with a good breakfast, but if I had known it was a long drive from the town, I would have booked something else. We were surprised to discover quite a few decent looking hotels right off the town center, while the drive from the inn took fifteen minutes. Also, as was pointed out, the...

Thank you 123Avila for taking time to review our property. We are indeed a 10 to 15 minute drive from downtown Nanaimo, but we are very close to the three major malls of the City, to the movie theatres, restaurants, "big box stores", as well as the many businesses and offices operating in North Nanaimo. I am surprised you found...

This is the best view room I've ever had and every room at this hotel has a view of the bay. It's right on the hay but once the door was closed we hardly heard the traffic. I don't think any other hotel in Nanaimo can compete

Thank you Jack B! The sunrises are spectacular here, aren't they? Watching the sun rise slowly over the far end of the lake is a wonderful thing.
