I had the pleasure of staying at this facility with my wife and four kids. The room was not bad for a budget facility. The breakfast was also good. But the best part was the service. Very helpful manager and front desk people. They both had excellent recommendations on what to do and best places to eat on the whole... More

Found a hair in the bed when we checked in and the sheets were stained. I asked the supervisor of housekeeping to check it out, she came in, saw the hair, picked it up and said "Oh yeah, that must be from the housekeeper and the stains on the sheets were from the washing machine" . The next morning, in... More

After reading several reviews, the good and the bad, we were pleasantly surprised. We went with a team and we heard most beds were good, the A/C worked well, having the lanais were a nice bonus, the continental breakfast was decent and not crazy busy. Location was good, 3 minute drive from ferry terminal, 3 minute walk to the harbour... More

Rather than wait 5 hours in a slow moving ferry line-up, we opted for an overnight stay in Nanaimo with our two pups in tow. Sheryl was delightful in her sunny disposition at the front desk and her desire to ensure we all had the room that suited us best. The price was right and our evening not only salvaged,... More

I rarely write reviews but feel it necessary to report on the Travelodge Nanaimo because what previous writers posted is inconsistent with what I say. Where to start? -old hotel, in desperate need of a facelift. -dirty, dirty, dirty carpets -no pool -only one washer and dryer -elevator goes only to the third floor, so if you're staying on the... I have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years and this one is one of the worst. It was far over priced, dirty, and dated. The room smelt of smoke ( non smoking apparently) the chairs on the balcony were falling apart. Only good thing is location.

One of the staff is going through cancer treatment and has no disability insurance. Her colleagues are working her shifts so that she has an income while she is off work! How amazing is that? And the staff are wonderful, even though they are exhausted. Make a donation to this woman.

This motel is in a great location just up the road from the ferry terminal. We purchased the room on expedia so we're fully paid on arrival. Admittedly it seemed to be a busy weekend on the island with dragon boating and gay pride. When we arrived there weren't any car parks so we had to park on the street.... More

The customer service here is next to none. They welcome you like a friend. Very helpful and accommodating staff. When we checked in we were given a bag with a few milk bones and poop bags for our doggy. The room is very basic but clean. Great shower pressure! Comfy bed. Lots of parking and there is a husky gas... More
