My wife and I, visiting Kamloops from the U S, spent 3 nights at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. We were very pleased with the accommodation and the attentiveness of the staff and would certainly stay there again.
I am writing this review to talk about the exceptional guest services at this excellent hotel. Rooms are beautiful and spacious and new, but the guest services are truly exceptional. Our family of four stayed for one night at the hotel on our way home from Banff National Park on July 2nd. During our one night stay, my younger son left behind his beloved blue baby blanket. That blanket has traveled the world over with him and it was with much distress that he realized he left it under the covers when we left. I called the hotel the next day to see if they found it. Laundry services found it a few days later and guest services emailed me a picture to confirm that it was indeed his beloved blue blanket. Thus began our saga of getting that blanket home… Due to my complete ignorance, I neglected to fill out the required customs invoices to mail a package from Canada to the United States. They carefully packaged the blanket and it was picked up by UPS. But due to the lack of customs invoices, it probably sat in the back office of UPS Canada for a month. I could not track the package and after a week or two, called the hotel front desk to see if it was picked up. When it failed to show up on the UPS tracking system even after a few weeks, I called the hotel another two or three times to check. Each time, the very patient and courteous front desk checked to see if the package was there and confirmed that it was not on their hotel premises. Finally, after a whole month, guest services made a trip to their UPS office to locate and pick up the package. I could not believe the incredible effort that they would make to find the package on our behalf. I was able to fill out the customs invoices and email it to them with a new mailing label. In a few short days, I got another email from guest services, informing me that the blanket was on its way home, two whole months later. Talk about Guest Services that go above and beyond for their guests. Thank you, Fairfield Inn and Suites in Kamloops!…
We stayed here 1 night during stop of rocky mountain train room was large clean and had every thing you need location is not in city but lots of fast food within walkin distance and few shops staff were pleasent and had very hood night sleep good free breakfast
2 days before we were through Kamloops I checked hotels in the area and confirmed I could use Marriott points to secure 1 night reservation. The cost of the room has doubled since our last stay ad the if using points that has doubled as well. There were rooms available but they needed me to go online to confirm the booking using points. I tried but it would not allow me access to Kamloops and the front desk was unable and uninterested to assist OR contact Marriott on my behalf to help. Being a loyal and valued customer of Marriott with a few 100,000 points my needs should have taken priority over any "walkin" or "off the rack " customer. Ended up booking elsewhere and will reconsider continuing my relationship with Marriott. I spent ALOT of money with them to earn the point I can't use when I should be able to.…
We are in the city for children’s provincials sports. We do not have enough good words to describe the top quality services offered by staff at the hotel. The highlights of our stay: Smooth and flexible check-in/check-out which helped a lot due to our hectic schedule - kudos for the morning receptionist! Good variety of breakfast - very kind and prompt personnel. Spotless cleaning of the room, neat sheets and towels. Beautiful room with sun rise view. Great peace of mind. Thank you all!
Hats off to these two wonderful ladies - Faline and Jennifer!! Personalized service, made me feel right at home. They made my stay at this hotel the best of the entire trip. Thank you for your lovely smiles and welcoming nature. Baljit - London UK
This was our allocated hotel on our overnight stop with the Rocky Mountaineer train, but I think we would have very happily chosen this for ourselves! Modern and clean, our room was vast, with a separate lounge/work area, large comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, fridge, microwave and coffee make (but no kettle) and good storage for a few days if you needed it. The bathroom was large, with a shallow Bath under the very good shower (only overhead at about a 45 degree angle, but excellent pressure and temperature made it easy to use anyway). The provided toiletries were mostly in fixed refillable bottles on the wall - great to see less plastic waste. Lots of towels provided! There was also a complimentary breakfast, the first we had seen during our Canada trip, although we were unable to use it due to eating on the train!…
This hotel was part of the Rocky Mountaineer package and is very good. Romeo's restaurant and another pub type place are nearby. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We dd not get to eat the breakfast as it's included on the train.
Stayed at the Marriott Fairfield Kamloops for a few nights. Room were impeccable for a Fairfield. Super clean and updated. It is textbook Fairfield brand. Breakfast was below average tho. Pool is pristine but small, gym need a little attention…. Closed proximity to many things in town. Would come back anytime.
Nice place to stay. Bed a bit soft but very clean. Excellent breakfast selection. Pool is a bit small. I would not want to be there when ot's very busy. Lots of restaurants and shops walking distance. Pleasant stay. I would definitelt recommend it for a stay.
