As someone who is terrified of horses, it might seem like a mad idea to stay on a ranch, but this was a family trip and something both my husband and daughter would enjoy. Turns out that if you’re in the right environment with the right people and the most relaxed and happy horses, everyone can enjoy horse riding and even grooming the horses! The lodge was very homely, food amazing, healthy and plentiful, activities offered and taken to fit in with us and the staff so friendly and helpful that we felt we had known everyone for a long time. Parts of my body Still have memories of the riding as well. I would recommend to anyone who wants to see Canada at its best, in a traditional way, with a chance to see wildlife. (We saw a young bear, coyote and lots of amazing birds whilst riding) Thanks to Bernadette and Martin and all the team for a wonderful trip.

My drive to the Ranch was my first impression. Loved the views, stunning countryside. Helpful staff upon arrival. My room was great, as it overlooked the arena and paddocks so I could watch the horses. The meals were awesome, thanks to Martin and his helper. Love the fact that everyone sits and enjoys meals together. Bernadette has a wealth of information and knowledge about natural horsemanship and shares this passion with guests. It shows in the care of the horses and how they interact with her. I really enjoyed the trail rides and my mini walks with the dogs in the morning. The staff were great and fun to be with. A very peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature. And most of all, the horses.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Campbell Hills Guest Ranch. Bernadette and Martin have cultivated a relaxed atmosphere while being attentive to guests. Bernadette’s natural touch with the horses shows tremendous care and authentic devotion to their well-being. We thoroughly loved each of the rides and the stunning vistas throughout. Martin’s cooking was great (what a treat to be fed 3 full meals each day!) The food is served buffet style and we all eat together at a long family table in the saloon. The other staff and volunteers from all parts of the world were equally engaging, offering that personal touch without being overwhelming. Thank-you to all. We recommend Campbell Hills Guest Ranch and look forward to a day when we can return.

Our family just returned from 3 memorable days at Campbell Hills. Our time there surpassed our expectations. Bernadette and Martin, along with their staff and volunteers were exceptional hosts. They have done an incredible job at creating a warm and welcoming environment for their guests. And the opportunity to observe and be around a herd of 29 horses was a gift we’ll remember for a long time. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 2 older children. Everyone had minimal riding experience but with Bernadette’s leadership, the kind staff that assisted on our rides, and the fact that each person was well matched with their horse, our group felt comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the riding experience. With two rides a day and each ride on a different trail there was never a dull moment. We rode along lakes, wound our way through forests and took in scenic vistas. The terrain was truly stunning. The time before and after the rides was also meaningful, as we were invited to spend time interacting with our horses and grooming them. It was inspiring and beautiful to see how Bernadette cares for her horses. It was evident that she and Martin are doing their very best to give their horses the best life possible, with their philosophy of natural horsemanship (which was new to us) guiding their decisions around care and training. We loved sitting down for meals together at the long table in the saloon with the other guests and staff. Martin’s meals were all healthy, creative, and delicious. The games room was also a lot of fun. Playing pool and foosball was a perfect way to unwind after a day of riding. We had never experienced a ranch vacation before and are so thankful we went. A few days spent with these lovely people and beautiful horses changes a person for the better. We are missing it already and hope to return soon.

This Ranch in B.C. Canada is a 1st class Ranch to visit. This is my 3rd visit & it never fails to satisfy my love for the open countryside on horse back. If you are a lover of horse's then give this place a try. If you find faults with it then you obviously come from a Mental Institute !!!!
