We really appreciated the friendly staff, and were able to get a room without advance booking. Our room was very comfortable, and the facilities were convenient. The hotel was in a very convenient location for travellers.
Staff were friendly and helpful, room spacious and shower was great, we only stayed 1 night as on route to Vancouver from Banff. Would recommend and if I’m in the area would use again. Breakfast was good also.
Set on the hillside just off the road to downtown Kamloops the Ramada still offers the same commanding view of the Thompson River looking north as it did 40+ years ago. Unfortunately the facilities still seem to reflect that era. Everything could use an update. Parking is confusing. Our room had no information on the services and dining offered by the hotel. Also there was not any info on Kamloops and the surrounding area in the room. Found a large tear off map pad by the front desk the next day. WIFI was OK. The TV displayed a large number of channels, but we could only actually access a half dozen or so. Our room was spacious and had a unique coffee. It was cleaned two of the three days of our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered some nice choices at reasonable prices. About 11 am their restaurant transforms into the Atta Boy Memphis BBQ until about 10 pm. The views from the restaurant and the higher level lounge are great. The location is convenient to the downtown, the University and for accessing the west side of the North Thompson River. Just lower your expectations and you likely won't be disappointed. We would stay there again as we now know what to expect.…
Luckily we did not pay full price, the rooms were okay, nothing special, just not to what I would value to the cost of the nights stay. The location was optimal, easy to get too but far enough from the major highway to keep noise down.
The hallways smelled mouldy. The beds squeak, the lounge served stale beer and then I listened to a very conversation amongst the manager & staff in the lounge on them trying to figure out how save the keg........which was opened up for a week.
