If you want to relax in your room, maybe play a game on your laptop ot Skype family pick a different hotel. The wifi in this place is non existent. It's the 2000's and you would think it would be a feature they could offer but not at this hotel. Avoid it at all costs

Good day patricknB9727MO, thank you for your review and I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. We have upgraded individual device WIFI, which most hotels have shared. We did not receive any request for assistance to help with any internet challenges, which our front desk could have transferred to our tech support for assistance. We are also in the process of upgrading all of our TV's to 50 inch.

Hotel's Favorite
My job is to book travel accommodation for pilots performing wildfire suppression efforts throughout Western Canada. I think most people don't realize that hotels often will prioritize higher paying vacation guests (especially in peak areas during the summer) and it can be extremely stressful and difficult to try to find last minute accommodation for our employees. Jennifer Krohn (the operations manager of this location) and the rest of the staff have gone above and beyond this forest fire season to make arrangements for our staff (the first responders fighting the fires in that area). While many other hotels in this area refused to even put us on a wait list, or price gouged our first responders due to limited availability, this hotel made special arrangements to ensure that we had a place to stay. I hope that others recognize and support businesses like this that are doing their best and prioritizing the forest fire suppression efforts (not trying to profit off the fact that rooms are of limited availability).…

Clean comfortable spacious. They provided me a room with a recliner which I need to sleep. I checked with other establishments and Best Western was the first one I found that provided a recliner. I know my wife will enjoy staying there on our next trip to Kamloops.

I noticed the bedding cover had a big stain on it. The staff should be concerned of making the best impression for their boss/hotel owner. Do not use stained covers it looks bad for the hotel. I liked it overall.

The top sheets we have for our beds were just purchased last summer, and unfortunately, some of them have already been stained and our laundry company has not been able to remove the stains. I have followed up with our head housekeeper asking her to remind the room attendants to be checking the top sheets thoroughly before putting them on the beds. This hotel is old, dingy, musty and very dated. The room smelled, it was dark and the towels in the bathroom were dirty. The breakfast is mediocre at best. I was booked to stay three nights but checked out the first night and went to the Fairfield instead. Save your money, don’t stay here.

I don't have a record of who this guest is as the name doesn't match any in our system so I can only speak generically about this review. In the last year we have finished our renovations, which consisted of replacing all carpet, flooring, window treatments, beds and linens/towels. We use an outside laundry company for all of our linens, but I will make sure the housekeepers are checking all linens/towels to ensure there is no stains on them before they are placed in a room. The Staff and cleanliness was great but the Suite for the price was tiny and poorly lauded out. The bathroom/walk-in shower stall was located diagonally across the suite from the bedroom. The walk-in shower was so narrow I barely fit! The bedroom was so small the luggage rack had to be out in the Mai part of the suite. The hotel is only a few years old but the suite looked outdated. Look else where for better priced way nicer suites in Kamloops.

Good day fromthe40, thank you for your review. I have responded to the guest personally as well. I am sorry that this guest did not enjoy their stay with us. The luggage rack might not be able to be placed beside the bed without blocking access, but there is definitely room at the end of the bed, or in front of the TV stand to have a luggage rack in the bedroom. We have many of our elite and corporate guests who love the king suite this guest stayed in, as it is actually our most requested room number. We finished all of our renovations this year, just before the summer season started. Thank you for mentioning how great our staff is, we are very fortunately to have such a great team here.

Our room was cozy and clean. The breakfast was a variety of delicious healthy foods and the staff were polite and friendly. The only issue we had was that our television did not work and the staff were unable to help trouble shoot the problem, due to the hotel being so busy - but other than that it was a great stay. The tv was not a big deal because we had an iPad to watch movies on anyway.

The stay was great. Hassle free, very helpful. The room was clean and warm. There was coffee in the room. The vending machines worked. All very good. I was travelling with young pups and the staff helped accommodate and take the stress away. I got the room closest to the doors going out for easy access

Great place to overnight between the coast and Calgary. Rooms are up to date, clean and comfortable. Staff was proficient and friendly. I've stayed here 8 or 10 times in the past 3 years and plan to stay again.
