Detailed Reviews
We chose it because of the price only. Room is simple, out dated, but fair enough if you do not want to spend a lot of money. Do not create expectations regarding the breakfast included. It is very simple, just some slices of bread and some pastries. We did hear some scary noise / fight during one night. Not sure what happened, but looked like some person was occupying a room improperly.

We were trying to find a cheap motel for the night. Stopped in other places and this one had the best price. It was a basic motel, clean and we had a quiet night but we do sleep with earplugs! Nice to park by our door. Staff was very helpful. Would stay there again

Stayed here early Jan 2020.
I called prior to booking in the morning and spoke with a woman regarding the rate for the night & hot tub, then proceeded to book on booking.com through my genius loyalty account as it was cheaper than what was quoted over the phone.
On arrival there was no mention of the hot tub / pool facilities. Once in the room I called to ask for directions to these facility’s to be told they are closed for maintenance. I was asked ‘if I wanted to use these facility’s’ thought that was pretty obvious and giving it was the reason I booked out of town I was feeling pretty annoyed about the whole situation giving I already called before and was not notified about it. I proceed to reception to be giving directions to a near by hot tub at the sister hotel. Even more frustrated now as we have to drive to the location which means we cannot drink alcohol, not much of a relaxing vacation I was looking for. On arrival to said hot tub at the Country View Motor Inn we had to stand in line for 5 mins to then be giving directions to what can only be described as a sad excuse for a hot tub, no bubbles, very annoying droning noise, and murky dirty water that was not any hotter than a warm bath. Feeling pretty bummed about the whole trip we decided to make it back to the motel and cut our loses for the evening.
On return from the hot tub I nearly slipped and fell on the top level of the accomodation as the snow and rain had iced over and there was zero area to walk that was safe the whole upper floor was a complete ice rink, no salt or sand around to help the situation.
Breakfast ?? Wouldn’t really call it breakfast it’s Cheerios, some old muffins and very weak coffee. Breakfast should at least be described as continental online not ‘very good breakfast included in this rate’. The room as also described as having free toiletries included, I never found these in the room anywhere, and the arm of the wooden chair also fell apart when I sat down.
Overall it was a very dismal experience, I have stayed in the centre of town for the same price, with a fantastic full breakfast included and basic amenities. We came here for the hot tub and pool and that ended up being a huge mistake.
Have contacted the property numerous time, I have told I would be giving a refund, they even took my bank details and then they just ignore my calls and emails since. I called back to ask what was happened and was told they ‘have no recollection of taking my bank details and they are unsure who I gave these to. Giving I called the reception number It is a little concerting they are unsure who took my private details. Very annoyed.
So yeah avoid this place!! Horrible customer service

+1
One night stay on 23 Aug, arrived 2030hrs after a long drive. Room looked fire damaged from the outside but far far worse on the inside. It stank of cigarette smoke, the curtains were coming off the rail, there was someone’s old takeaway food in the fridge, two of the bathroom lightbulbs were dead or missing, the toilet seat had urine stains all over it, the bedding smelt unclean and definitely had not been pressed, there were long hairs in the sheets and on the bathroom towels, there were dirty tissues in the bed and behind the tv (that didn’t work), the list goes on. It was absolutely appalling. Then, after travelling since 0900hrs that morning, I went for some food and decided to leave (after discovering the dirty toilet seat). I went to the office at 2159hrs, door was locked and no answer to the bell.
Obviously, after not staying there I messaged the motel via Booking.com asking for a refund. They didn’t message back until I left a poor review (the evening after) on B.com. Then they argued that they were in the office at 2200hrs (even though I had video evidence of the door being locked and no answer).
After sending them some of my photos they have yet to offer any apology or refund.
Avoid this motel.

Our sport's team traveled to Kamloops tor a tournament in May 2024. We booked this motel after our Team Manager made arrangements to hold a few rooms.
Unfortunately, my family was unable to attend the tournament due to an injury, so I called the hotel 4 + days prior to our arrival to cancel our upcoming booking.
The front desk refused to cancel and argued about a very confusing cancellation policy, suggesting I should have cancelled my room 30 - 60 days earlier in order to receive a refund. This is despite clear language on the confirmation emails sent to our team that stated "If cancelled or modified up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged." No additional information regarding changes to their cancellation policy were provided to our Team Manager or families that booked here.
I was informed the owner would call me back to discuss the cancellation. However, I never received a phone call and the hotel immediately processed payment for the entire stay (3 nights) on my credit card (4 days before I was even scheduled to arrive).
Further conversations with the motel regarding refunding this charge went nowhere.
I am following up with various authorities about this, but wanted to caution others thinking of booking here so they can avoid the hassle, confusion, and stress of dealing with this motel.

I booked a dog friendly room on BOOKING.COM in February. They got back to me February 11 saying the dog charge was $20… so they were well aware we had a dog! I got a message from them tonight saying they “have no pet friendly rooms left”! Obviously this is a poorly run establishment and the manager has no idea what’s going on… If you want a confirmed booking that actually honours it …this is not the place! I think I may have dodged a bullet here! 😅

Not a nice place - booked with the motel directly and the room smelled like stale cigarettes and not very clean. We tried to get out of the reservation but they were going to charge me anyway (which we couldn’t afford) so stayed anyway. No room cleaning during our stay and got ripped off on billing because all their notes are hand written and no way traceable. STAY AWAY!!

The front desk was very accommodating. It was a cold October 26,2022, my wife needed groceries and checkout time was 11am but I asked if we could stay a while longer until my wife completed grocery shopping. To my relief they allowed my kids and I to stay a while longer until she was done. We appreciated the extra amount of checkout time until we could journey onwards.

Facility is located right on TC Highway. You could hear semi trucks all night long as we as being located within 400 feet of railway line. Furniture was all in need of repair, no stopper for sink, TV wouldn't work(needed to call manager to get it going) then in morning didn't work again. Manager came to room, entered without wearing a mask...thanks. Had ladies of the night visiting several rooms during the wee hours of the morning including the room right beside us. Could also hear a dog barking throughout the night...pet friendly Hotel.
