A very disappointing experience. This hotel has potential.

The good - It is in a good location. The small bar fridge was cold and useful. The air conditioning worked. The linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was hot.

The bad - Many general maintenance issues: The automated garage door was almost always open. There were swallows nesting in the garage. The elevators both needed a wipe down (to remove fingerprints). We were on the 4th floor, the hallway carpet was stained and warn. The skylight was disgusting. The toilet in our room could not even deal with flushing a couple of squares of toilet paper. It was really bad. The ceiling in the bathroom and the kickboard at the base of the sink were both damaged. The fan was filthy.

We would definitely NOT stay here again nor will we stay at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort owned by the same Vancouver - based company).

PS We did not consider using ice from the machine in light of the foregoing.

PPS The restaurant adjacent to hotel was closed for the duration of our two night stay.

Arrived for our 4 pm check in only to find the room was not ready. I was told to read the fine print in the contract. Told they would try to have room ready at check in, but might not be. Room was ready at 4:45 with a lot of drama. When I told the lady at the desk my wife had a zoom meeting booked, she said "do it in the lobby" Compensated 10% off, which is disrespectful based on the room is over $300 per night. They could have done better and avoided this review. In the end just telling how it went. Not really willing to pay for a service I am not. getting. Over priced- bad shower and rude- stay away!

The front desk staff were great. However, I regret checking out the room before we settled in. The entry door looked like it had been broken into. The towel rack in the bathroom fell apart after I removed the towels and facecloths. I was able to put it gently back onto the wall. No drain plug for the bathtub. At the head of the bed where the wall plug is for the lamp had 2 more big outlet holes left uncovered and showed cables. I suggest they have a repair person look after all the inconsistencies of Room 216 and make it better for the next guest(s).

Our experience with Harrison Lake Hotel was unfortunately far from pleasant. At check-in we were kindly helped by a staff member at the desk, which initially made us feel good. But from the moment we walked to our room, the disappointment began.

The hallway is not clean, smelled musty and unpleasant, which immediately left a bad impression. Once we arrived in the room, we were shocked. The room was clearly in need of renovation and did not meet our expectations at all. The bathroom was old, worn but especially unhygienic, which made us very uncomfortable.

The air conditioning did work, but was built into a window and made a lot of noise, so relaxing was not possible. The carpet was full of stains and the bed looked so unsavoury and uncomfortable that we dared not sleep in it.

After seeing the room we immediately decided to find another place to stay. Although the receptionist tried to persuade us to change rooms, there was nothing to convince us to stay.

We asked to speak to the manager to express our displeasure, but he was unfortunately not present. This only made the situation more frustrating, as we felt that our complaints were not being taken seriously.

In short, our experience was anything but what we had hoped for. Although the staff was friendly, we absolutely cannot recommend Harrison Hot Springs based on this experience. The hotel is in dire need of renovation and better management to meet guests' expectations.

Absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed at! Water damage all through the building. Air fresheners all through the lobby ways to mask the musty smell from unattended damages. The room I booked over the phone was not the room given to us at check in - which also did not have a functioning air conditioner as it was hot and humid during my stay. One of the four rooms that was looked at had black mold in the bathroom at the floor level. All kinds of plumbing issues - sink and shower would not drain or hot water etc.
The original booking was done over the phone because I needed a pet friendly room and was told by front desk staff the emailed copy of the bill would reflect the additional charge per day for pets. This was not the case come time of checking out.
The exterior of the building had tiles in some areas of the walls which were broken or missing in all kinds of areas.
I had seen enough by this point - it just gave you the feeling the place has been abandoned for top tier rates at Harrison Lake for very marginal appeal and overall condition of the building . Never saw a soul during my stay on the floor I was on or during the entire 3 night stay.

OMG!! We booked two nights at this hotel. We came in and I heard water running. It was the faucet in the bathtub. Picked up the phone to call the front desk. No dial tone. Called with cell phone. Maintenance worker came and went. No communication. There was no remote for the tv. Went to the front desk and was given another room. Told to check all amenities before changing our room. Good advice. This room had the dirtiest bathtub and lights with sockets falling apart. We did find a tv remote. Told front desk we are staying in our room but have the remote from alternate room. In our room I couldn’t turn the faucet on for shower. Called front desk again. Three times and that faucet couldn’t be fixed. The manager was unavailable until the third time. Plus the maintenance worker took all our towels, had to contact front desk to even replace towels and make the bed( which was never done). An absolute nightmare!! Please don’t go there. No matter what the price, this place needs so much work!!

Unfortunately, I have nothing positive to say about Harrison Lake Hotel. We entered the room and I was immediately struck by how warm it was, I checked the thermostat and noticed that it was set for 16 (there was no way it was 16). I went to the little windows that barely kicked out and noticed a fan tucked in the corner of the room which I did not take as a positive sign for the current a/c situation. The carpets were stained (I told my husband that I did not want to take my shoes off), the bathrooms were dirty, wallpaper peeling, and the fan or heat lamp cover was missing in the bathroom. The bathroom sink and bathtub were stained in a way that made it look like someone had washed their dirty feet and failed to rinse the tub after. One the second night, the heat was too much so we called the front desk at 1:30 am to ask about the a/c. He came up to the room, put his hand near the vent and then pushed a few buttons on the thermostat and said he needed to reset something and that it should be working soon. He came back a second time and put his hand near the vent and said that it should be on within 15 minutes but if not, to call him back. We called back after 15 minutes and were not surprised, but disgusted, when no one answered the front desk phone. The icing on the cake was that we were situated in room 205 which is directly above the sign outside of the hotel. It looked as though the mothership were landing just outside our window, blackout blinds (at the very least in this room) would have made a huge difference. I will not suggest this hotel to anyone.

Please save yourself the hassle and book anywhere else. This is probably the worst hotel I have been to. We checked in, front desk agent was nice. We had a jacuzzi room 332, went up to our room already a little nervous as the hotel was super dated and falling apart bad smells in the lobby. Get to our room (I always check for bed bugs) left our stuff at the door and I check it out….. bugs all under the mattress. The room itself was SO dated and patches of holes on the walls and bathroom ceiling, it smelled really musty like mold. We go to the front desk to let them know about the bed bugs and the manager got mad at me…. For lifting the sheets and checking ? He was not apologetic at all! First thing he said was ok do you want to check out… he was just eager to sell our room to the next person as he said they were “over booked”
The front desk agent asked us if we want to check other rooms so we said ok checked 408 and 410 same thing bed bugs… I was so disgusted at this point. We were there for my birthday and had 8 rooms booked between us and other friends. We checked out and went somewhere else.
Our friends rooms were the same bugs/ stains on the bedding, urine smell in the rooms. The manager was extremely rude and didn’t care so this makes me think they know about the bugs and don’t want to pay to fix the problem and shut down the hotel for a couple days. There were others in the lobby complaining and checking out as well. Our new hotel said that’s a common issue with this hotel. Also the front door to the hotel is broken and about to fall off the tracks and the staff did nothing but watch everyone struggle to get through the doors….

What an interesting experience to say the least. We have stayed in nicer motels than this, and for the pretty penny of almost $200 a night which is certainly not motel status, we will continue to outline all of the reasons you should avoid staying at this disgusting hotel.

Enter first room: filthy, ceiling was falling apart, gross smell, and other guests old items found in room. Forgot to bring our shower shoes but no worries, the shower was broken when we tried to use it. I skipped the morning shower, while my wife had a bucket shower out of the faucet. When we went to the front desk to tell them about our issue and raise concern about the hygiene of our room, the lady at the front desk said "oh", and that was all. Hours later, the shower was "fixed"... we now had the flow of water down to about 1 cup of water per minute perhaps. We asked to change rooms. As we were changing rooms we were able to observe the cleaning staff. The "resort" advertises COVID safety protocols, but they can't even adhere to proper labour laws. I watched as a perhaps 3 year old took out a face clothe from the clean linens, brought it to the floor and began folding it. She utilized the ground and her mouth well to get a perfect fold...

There are serious concerns with whether this hotel should even be running.

The manager said he would be discounting our first night stay for all of our troubles. When it came to checking out, he was so "kind" and offered a $20 discount. This is about 10.5% off, a nice gesture.

Avoid at all costs.

Please note we do not have rooms at $200 a night, nor with a lake view - perhaps you have us mistaken with one of the motels on the lake?

We had a pleasant experience. We came in way before check in time to enjoy the lake, were able to park our car at the hotel parking and just walk over. Takes you couple of minutes, very close location.
There was fridge, AC, TV in the room, the beds were comfortable, AC was working fine. The bathroom is very nice. The only thing, given that it was 4 of us, there were not enough towels (I made sure I placed 4 people in the room booking).
The hotel had a nice courtyard and was very close to all the cafes and restaurants.
The only thing is that the hotel is very dated, but apart from that, our stay was fine. The value of a dollar for a location is better here than any other hotel in the area.

This hotel is less than a block from the Harrison Hot Springs Hotel (which has the hot spring pools). Alternatively there is a public hot springs pool across the street from this hotel (Ramada). But the ramada itself doesn't have hot spring pool (in fact I don't know if they even have a pool/hot tub at this hotel). As far as I know those are the only two options although I have heard there is some naturally occurring hot springs that you could find but I have no idea if that's truth or myth. This hotel is ideally located in Harrison but doesn't have hot springs itself.
